Wow, didn't see that coming (Rogers' doping). It doesn't prove anything about SKY, but it puts them under suspect.
What will Tinkoff-Saxo do if Rogers gets supendet?
I hope they've signet Sánchez or else they will surely get f***ed by SKY again next juli.
They might sign Sánchez, they might sign with Jesus Christ. Won't change a thing. They will still get their asses handed over to them across all the year. And you can't never forget old habits can you?
Well you're propably right about Them getting their asses kicked next year. |

I'd spend my money if someone were to open a website where the users could bet on the date of Sky's bust.

Total denial mode activated. If it's a Saxo rider there must be a legit reason, eh ?
Let's see if some more clenbuterol positives are found from that race. That could save Rogers. And we should wait for him to be tried and convicted before opening champagne bottles... |

Why am I expecting to see Portes name pop up in a short while?
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

I read yesterday in the thing about JTL that the UK Anti doping Agency will be doing the investigation. I reckon Sky could easily tip off people to forget and 'lose' positive tests.

Is it just my imagination or have there been a fair few doping scandals with riders who have been connected to either Saxo or Sky? Or preferably both.

Fun fact: Brian Smith says no blood tests were made on Tiernan-Locke at the T.O.Britain last year, so the adverse finding isn't from that race.
Training camps? Worlds? Who knows where it's from
He says that in every single race that JTL entered he didn't get blood tested. |

I don't think that will happen as long as he will be riding for Sky.
This is just like US Postal. As soon as they leave the team, they test positive.

It's obvious: The dope made him worse. Remember Zabel?

Hey, no-one said the steaks were good for you XD.
On the JTL thing.. its just really odd for me. The whole thing is weird. Everything seems to say the odd passport data comes from a pre-sky period, but it only gets discovered after he spends the whole season with Sky. But then, evreyone also says they tested him and didnt see anything strange. And then everyone says he never had any blood tests.
Ultimately, I think most people thought he looked suspect last year, his shit year this year does nothing to help that, and the fact that Sky are really not supporting him is damning too.
I feel that the fact they arent public backing him (I know they arent exactly condemning him either but his basically been locked out of Sky until its resolved) suggests to me that they suspect he doped and they didn't know about it. Reason?
If thought he was clean, they would fight for him. Its what teams do. If they doped him, they would also fight for him, because they would know if it was confirmed they would get way to much heat and likely have him tell all. Same also rather applies if they knew he was doping prior and still signed him to a clean program, if its confirmed he is likely to tell all and drop them in it.
Its possible they are attempting to just do the "right" due course thing and if it is confirmed go into full denial and due process mode, and if JTL blabbed they would claim its revenge for them not fully backing him but I dont see that either, seeing as its an obviously awful media move, and they are pretty good at media .
Kinda just wish they would hurry up and resolve the whole thing. Its the most annoying thing about the drugs stuff imo. How long it takes, it makes the problem a million times worse both for those who end up being clean and for the sport when they ultimately are dirty. |

I'm sure months back there was a thing about JV saying they tested him in the March/April and it there was no problem with them. They didn't say why they didn't sign him but i'm sure he said there had no reason to suspect he was doping then.
I guess that media angle works for their marketbase though. Sister already claiming conspiracy will only help them there. They will probably lose a few people that are positive thinking sceptics and the rest already think they are doping so i suppose it would be deemed irrelevant. British public would probably buy the story though and that's most important.
I still get the feeling Sky have been geninuely conned on this one though. In as much as, they thought he was clean, raced him clean, found he was shit and realised he must have been doped the season before. His sister might even be right in that Sky tipped auth's of as it would be an easy way of killing his contract. At which point, due process takes course, and hence suspension and a non-commital stance.
Unfortunately, this doesn't really mean anything in terms of the overall picture at Sky. Still. Interesting XD |
