Norwegian Wood - World Championships 2013
World Championship 2013 - Time Trial
Gold: Tony Martin
Silver: Fabian Cancellara
Bronze: Bradley Wiggins
World Championship 2013 - Road Race
Gold: Peter Sagan
Silver: Philippe Gilbert
Bronze: Thomas Voeckler
Don't forget this is a graphic novel, sort of. So it's "The End" of the first book. The next book is about his 2014 season

Nice! Paris-Tours and E3 are definitly good results for a young rider like him! Now, let's hope he can perform in the GTs sprints!

Dippofix - Those are the biggest question mark for the 2014 season, for me. I hope he can take a victory in the Giro!
sutty68 - Always great to wrap up with a victory

Word to the Wise - Part II
Welcome to the second season/book of Lars Erik Borgen. Season 1 was a lot of fun for me, and saw a strong, talented young cyclist. I'm more excited than ever to explore his abilities even more in the next season.
This story has known ups and downs. Some technical difficulties have almost meant the end of the story, not all reactions have been positive about the style of the story, but here we are, at the start of the 2014 season.
And that couldn't have been without you. Those who follow, whether closely or from a distance. Those who comment, rarely or often. Thanks to all of you!
Now it's time for 2014!
Norwegian Wood - Old Roads, New Dreams
GP la Marseillaise
1 | Lars Erik Borgen | BMC Racing Team | 3h24'24 | 2 | Jens Voigt | RadioShack - Leopard | s.t. | 3 | Fabian Wegmann | Garmin - Sharp | s.t. | 4 | Ángel Vicioso | Katusha Team | s.t. | 5 | Sonny Colbrelli | Bardiani Valvole - CSF Inox | s.t. | 6 | Francesco Ginanni | Bardiani Valvole - CSF Inox | s.t. | 7 | Arthur Vichot | FDJ.fr | s.t. | 8 | Pierrick Fédrigo | FDJ.fr | s.t. | 9 | Lars Petter Nordhaug | Belkin Pro Cycling Team | s.t. | 10 | Philippe Gilbert | BMC Racing Team | s.t. |
Gilbert went solo with 40 km to go but was caught in the final straight line. Cummings proved an invaluable lead-out for Lars, who sprinted to the victory fairly easy in the end. Late attacked Voigt was the biggest danger.

Starting the season in style.
Let's hope he can keep his very early form for the classics.

Good decision to let use catch up. I left this thread for a day and a quarter of a year is gone. Disappointing that Gilbert came in 2nd at the WC. But Great start to the year. I have one question: what are the team stats for the new year?
The day when bike gears turn automatic. = Why not now? They did it with cars.

5hadows - Gilbert losing with - what can't be more than - 1 mm was truly unfortunate for the team. I was controlling Norway so all I could do was watch and see it happen
Year started out well and is about to be better The team is quite the same, only Evans left. Cancellara and a U23 signée came in. I can take a screenshot tomorrow if you want.
Going for TDF with Van Garderen, classics with Cancellara, hilly classics with Gilbert and Van Avermaet is doing Vuelta |

Very strong start to the new season, but then again he should be able to beat sprinters like the ones in that peloton

5hadows - Reeling in Cancellara left us with insufficient funding to give Evans a leading contract. He didn't accept a reduced pay and left for another WT team. I forgot for a minute where, I'll check next time I'm on my laptop
sutty68 - Thanks starting the season on a win is always a big plus!
Atlantius - That's true. Sprinting against Cavendish and Kittel is something else coming up... |

Norwegian Wood - Sand Castle King
Normally I wouldn't put much effort in the Tour of Qatar, but seeing Lars is a sprinter and this really is a turning point in his career, I thought it was necessary to share
Cavendish is still better, though, but this proves that Lars is coming up and that, when all circumstances are right, he can beat him.
Also stage 4 was incredibly awesome to play. Cancellara blew everyone away and we got away with our lead-out. Winning with Lars but Phinney and Cancellara taking 2 and 3.
