5 Rings of Moscow Stage 5 [Final] (2.2)
May 9th, 2013
Its the final stage, and Hunal still sits in 5th overall! Its doubtful he could make a large enough gap to get into the lead! Its going to be a little easier today than it has been the past 4 but with the trouble the breakaways have been causing, if the sprinters want their glory today the peloton will have to pull really hard!
The days break gets clear about 15km into the stage! Hunal tried his luck, but obviously he wasn't going to be allowed into the break so easily. The break was left out to dry almost all day with a small gap, but when it came time to chase them back it took forever and they held off the peloton until 500m to go.
The sprinters make a charge for the line! For a while there was an element of uncertainty as they didnt know the break would be caught or not! None of the Spartans could contest the sprint as everyone was beginning to feel the effects of the hard chase only a few kms earlier. Giocoppo of Huon made a nice move on the inside corner close to the barrier and takes the stage win!
In sad news, Klabouch crashed out and went immediately to the hospital with a fracture. No one saw the crash but the injury is real.

After loosing 3rd place with Kopecký, Hunal did good by holding 5th place with only 1sec... not bad.

Is Klabouch under the care of a doctor right now?

Hunal unfortunately not move up, but neither did move down, solid performance from him
I appreciate that you did that well, my carrier goes much more worse, without even TOP 10 results, finished 7. once. Just about one hour ago i lost 5. position on GC and end with damned 15. place
Hard is tough, but fair and realistic, even If my team was real, results would be similar.
Hope for quick recovery for Klabouch
Yep, thats me down here...

5th place in GC is very good and realistic, so i am happy with that for you.
And yep, i found the download links by now and already planned a new carrer, seems like nice database, despite not greatest CT stats and potentials.
Good luck in next races!

@ baia - Yeah. I was hoping for less time gaps but oh well
@ #'s - He is indeed. No worries though, its a good doctor
@ pavuk - Thanks Im happy with the results so far! Its been consistent so far!
@ palec - Thank you! Yeah, he got a bit lucky
@ Avin - Thank you! Its a great result. I forgot to check how much that moves me up in the Conti rankings, but it should put me well into the Top 50 teams.
----------
Just some news. I've been in informed by 2 different shirt makers that are telling me they will try to make the 2013 jersey so I think I'm going to wait for that before I start the An Post Ras, but I wont wait more than a day or 2 more. The only reason for this is I dont want to change jerseys right in the middle of the race and its 8 stages long so it will take a while to complete most likely.

Firstly stop writing so damn quick ...having to block read every time I come on just to catch up.
Now to the progress...I'm going to go against consensus and say disappointing end to the 5 rings! 2 well placed riders heading past the half way point yet only a 5th place to show. Perhaps i've come to expect to much from the great start but hey....someone has to be the critic that motivates you
Keep up the good work with the story!

@ Owen - I've slowed down my reports a lot this week
You're right! I'd wished I could have kept a better spot, but I think its the best I could achieve.
@ sutty - Indeed. We've had a chat and he's very happy

An Post Ras Stage 1 (2.2)
May 19th, 2013
Startlist
Today is the opening stage of one of our biggest races of the year. We've only brought 6 riders here since we have another race taking place at the same time later on. The startlist is unusually weak and not many teams have decided to come either! It should be an exciting race for sure with only 69 riders!
Todays breakaway of 2 includes Kopecky as well as Thomas Moses of Raleigh. The break didn't even form until nearly 80km into the stage as no one even had the will to try something before that.
The 2 had a nice lead up until the final 10kms where attacks were made and eventually Kopecky proved he was the better of the two and now has a decent gap back to the peloton as well! Its going to be close as always, but the chase seems especially weak today!
And in extremely suspenseful fashion Kopecky holds his gap for the win on the opening stage! Its a great way to begin the tour for us, and of course its always awesome to win and wear the leaders jersey of a race! Expectations will surely be high for the remainder of the race with the size of this peloton.
