Coppel tried nicely, but these mountains aren't really for him. Too bad it didn't work out for us. We seriously need a bonus to that two expected time trial wins. Hopefully Henao will get better for next mountain stages and other riders will try to get into breaks as well. That is my only other chance left in this race, sadly.

What a ride from Ponzi, fantastic report really brought that stage to life. Still shaping up to be a great fight among the favorites.
Brilliant ride from Pinot to take polka dots, if he is aggressive and attacks to defend the jersey i think he has the strength to do it, which would be massive for us.

I'd just like to take a moment to point out how accurate the comparisons between this Ponzi and real-life Sagan are. This is exactly how Sagan won green in 2012 - get in breaks and harvest the points no one else can get.
That was exactly my thought when seeing that, very Saganish from Ponzi.
He is becoming one of my man-game favourites, real gem for Wiggle.
And congrats to Pearl, that was heroic effort from Morizot.
Looking forward to next part of the thriller, very close race so far, Madrazo is somewhat still my favourite for the win, with best mountain team and great TT and climbing. Reports are seriously awesome Count!

Guess I can't have it all my own way eh? Nearly perfect sort of finish with a few hills for Ponzi, yet nothing to note. Ignatiev at least defending his joint lead in the KOM, good AI for once eh?
Pity Cattaneo had to pull out, pretty much the only support in the mountains for either Ponzi or Costagli. And he was on his way to the triple GT I believe. |

Good to be down from the mountains for a little while. Van Avermaet with a good stage once again, even though it looked like he was blocked a little in the sprint there. A nice effort also by Marinangeli. 11th is one of his best stage results this season.

Coming with no ambitions Festina must be pretty content with state of affairs here

Wow, you scared me there.
I guess if Madrazo had to puncture, that was the perfect time.

+1 Very surprising after his earlier races, but hey, Tour is something special.
Congrats to SotD!

Ridiculous.
If we relegate, I know which race is to blame.
Congratulations to Festina, but I guess you understand I can't really be happy for you.

Been a decent couple of days for SRB here, in the break and after a no show on stage 10, Van Heerden gets involved on stage 11.
Guerao has been superb at the tour, with the pressure off he has been sensational. Bennati very ordinary, it has to be said.

Guerao huh?
So 5 days in yellow and still counting... I fear the hills in the next stage though. Cunego could turn on beast mode as he needs to gain some time by now. Come on Pluchkin!

disappointing stage, especially in that the team should have done better to hold onto the KOM jersey. Glad Pinot stayed in the pack when everyone else dropped back though.

This is starting to get ridiculous Van Avermaet. Why do you insist on opening the sprint nearly two kilometers from the line when you have the wheel of the winner?
Congrats to SotD, though. This has been an incredible Tour for Guerao so far.
