Saxo accelerates, Porte is really struggling. So is Rolland

Hey Froome did you perhaps go and Hinault yourself? Oh that would be so glorious and explain the absolute domination of yesterday.
Long way to go yet though, but One versus the Five of Saxo-Tinkoff and the slightly fewer of Movistar doesn't seem favourable to Team Sky. |

Saxo bank is doing the right thing. They need to keep the pressure on to keep Porte behind them. Froome might just have made the biggest mistake of the race so far. |

What the hell is this? Greatest stage ever, this is amazing. 2 years ago we would've had a 80 man peloton, now it's fireworks from the start, Froome isolated |

This reminds me very much of the Pamplona stage from way back in 1996 - it all kicked off fairly early that day too.
The riders are making this a hell of a stage - could be a cracker.
Desperately trying to find excuses to allow me to watch this all day instead of getting on with work!

When this happens, one team being awesome one day, worse than others the next
it always turns out to be that one team refilled with blood bags one day earlier than everyone else

I fear for the sprinters arriving on time today if they keep this up
Even Sagan might finish too late (in same group as Kittel I think) |

This might be just what I expected after yesterday; Sky being completely empty allready because they went absolutely balls to the walls yesterday.

Yeah, because they will definately kick out Sagan. I mean, if there is one rule they are strict about, it's the time limit rule.

Alpe d'Huez 2 years ago.
Same script, even down to Evans puncturing.
