Pauriol takes the penaultimate Intermediate sprint.
3'33" the gap with 30 kms to go.
Purito on the attack with 23 kms to go im not sure he realises his lead is enough for the ITT lol.
Purito is caught almost straight away, 10 kms to go for the escapees and the gap is 1'38".
E. Martinez takes the final Intermediate of the day, Martinez has 28 seconds over his fellow escapees.
3 kms to go for Martinez he looks strong.
Rodriguez attacks, Iglinsky counters.
Egoi Martinez wins the stage.
Spoiler
I got so excited about Iglinsky countering I forgot to take screen of the winner lol.
Rodriguez comes over the line with L.L.Sanchez, look at Iglinsky in the background he as 10 seconds on the chasers.
Looks like a time gap, no? but we get same time.
Top 10: Iglinsky 10th
GC: Very close on GC, the podium is probably already done but can we get top10?

Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco stage 6 ITT 17.5 kms
The favourites:
Martin EBH Millar
Can we keep a top 10 spot? it will be close. T. Martin should overtake us aswell as Costa, L.L.S and Monfort. Gadret sucks at ITT, so we should be 9th or 10th.
Richie Porte is underway, he is in 88th place, can he take the win in a race that Sky have been poor?
Porte beats the time set by S.Cummings by 2 seconds. Time to aim for 25'08".
David Millar smashes Porte's time, 23 seconds faster.
Can Kessiakoff do a good time? he is our best ITT rider.
Possibly the most aggressive rider of the race sets off, KOTM winner Jesus Hernandez.
Westra goes 5 seconds slower than Millar.
Kessiakoof finishes 39 seconds down on Millar.
Surely the favourite today the German powerhouse Tony Martin, 9th in GC.
EBH with a new best time 11 seconds clear of Millar.
Come on Maxim.
Martin is 20 seconds up through the first check.
Iglinsky 57 seconds behind through the first split.
Tony Martin wins the stage, what a great ride, 34 seconds better than second place he will be moving well up on GC.
1'36" Iglinsky has lost.
Top 10:
GC: I think we can be happy, we finish in 8th place 8 secs ahead of Monfort.

Well the end of Pais Vasco and im very content with the result, what do you guys think? 8th was the maximum going into the ITT and we can be happy because Iglinsky should be in great shape for AGR. I think Gaspa will not be at optimum until LBL. |

Paris Roubaix
Paris–Roubaix is a one-day professional bicycle road race in northern France near the Belgian frontier. From its beginning in 1896 until 1967 it started in Paris and ended in Roubaix (hence the name); since 1968 the start city has been Compiègne (about 60 kilometres (37 mi) north-east from Paris centre) whilst the finish is still in Roubaix.
Famous for rough terrain and cobblestones it is one of the 'Monuments' or Classics of the European calendar, and contributes points towards the UCI World Ranking. It has been called the Hell of the North, a Sunday in Hell (also the title of a film about the 1976 edition of the race), the Queen of the Classics or la Pascale: the Easter race. The race is organised by the media group Amaury Sport Organisation annually in mid-April.
First run in 1896, Paris–Roubaix is one of cycling's oldest races. It is well known for the many 'cobbled sectors' over which it runs, being considered, along with the Tour of Flanders and Gent–Wevelgem to be one of the cobbled classics. Since 1977, the winner of Paris–Roubaix has received a sett (cobble stone) as part of his prize.
The terrain has led to the development of specialised frames, wheels and tyres. Punctures and other mechanical problems are common and have often played a part in the results.
Despite the high esteem with which the race is seen, some cyclists have claimed to regard it as a joke because of its difficult conditions. The race has also seen several controversies, with seeming winners of the race disqualified for various reasons.
The course is maintained by Les Amis de Paris–Roubaix, a group of fans of the race formed in 1983. The forçats du pavé seek to keep the course as safe as possible for riders while maintaining its difficulty.
The reigning champion is Johan Vansummeren.
2011 Podium
The Favourites:
Fabian Cancellara: 1st place in RVV a week ago surely the no1 favourite for Roubaix
Tom Boonen: 2nd in RVV, can he win Roubaix?
Juan Antonio Flecha: Took an excellent 3rd place in De Ronde, can he finally bag Roubaix?
Alessandro Ballan: Was really strong in RVV got caught out and wasted lots of energy to bag 4th place, possibly the 3rd strongest in the race.
Outsiders:
Thor Hushovd: 4th in RVV, 2nd in 2010, 3rd in 2009 can he bag a big Cobbled Monument? He needs to stop being the nearly man.
Filippo Pozzato: Has a best result of 2nd in Roubaix in 2009, had a consistent but not great season 7th RVV, 8th MSR and 9th G-W.
These riders our trying to form the break.
The break hits the Cobbles, it does not look like Cancellara wants such a big break to go as he as his workers on the front.
Eisel and Vansummeren have sufferd punctures.
110 kms to go Murafyev, Bazayev and Bozic(on the limit) are in this group no break is being let go away.
Eisel hits the front 80 kms to go.
Ballan and Chavanel are going solo with 30 kms to go.
Heartbreak for Chavanel he as fallen he had a minute on the main chasers with Ballan.
Can Ballan survive? surely he should go back to the group.
Cancellara is on the attack 25 kms to go, Boonen needs to react.
Boonen is not reacting to these attacks, Flecha now goes.
Ballan has 25 seconds on Cancellara and Flecha.
7.5 kms to go and Boonen has had enough he bridges to Flecha, Cancellara and Ballan are 20 seconds up the road.
Cancellara attacks as they enter the veledrome, Ballan does not respond, Boonen has surely missed out on the win here.
3 kms to go Ballan has came back to Cancellara, is Cancellara going too early?
Cancellara doubles up what a week for Spartacus.
Ballan takes a great second place.
Boonen 3rd, Flecha 4th and Hushovd 5th.
Bazayev the best Astana rider.

Thanks Ian and Sutty, we were very pleased in the end. We lost 1'36" to Martin but only 1 minute to EBH so overall we cant complain. |

I know Ian but what can we do?, we have a poor cobble's team Bazayev is 70 cob, Iglinsky could of got a top 20 perhaps as he as 73. But like I said a cobble's rider a good GC rider to go with Nibali is what we want. I will say now 1 of our punchers will be leaving. |

Three things:
---- Great results by Iglinsky in the Basque county.
---- Although there were no high placings in Paris Roubaix, just to have men finish is a decent result. I would love to see this Astana sign a 'massive' name for the cobbles.
--- Nice win for Gaspattoto ahead of the Ardennes! |

Thanks m8, I did not have anyone peak for the cobbled classics this year, if we peaked Bazayev he could of done better. I am still learning aswell we are all going on this journey together I always raced on Easy and Normal. I am loving it on Hard though, I mean results are not outstanding but are still fairly good. It's not like on easy or normal. I know for a fact on easy Nibali would have took MSR and Tirreno and on hard we get 5th so I really do appreciate it more.

Thanks mate, indeed 8th was very good. And yes we suck on cobbles lol.
Boom and Chavanel are the 2 out of contract but they may sign on still, but if we can we would love 1 of them. |

This is the BOTD the big Dutch hope Kelderman is in thiss break he also has a teammate in here.
The escapees are not going to be happy with Breschel, he bridged to the break and Paolini is bringing the gap right down.
They have been caught with 110 kms to go.
80 kms to go and Ballan is on the attack Casar is trying to bridge.
70 kms and Group Ballan have 4 minutes on the Peleton.
Leukemans is on the front 3'30" the gap with 40 kms to go.
Gerrans and Purito on the attack. Ballan and Casar are 50 seconds ahead with 17.5 kms to go.
Rodriguez and Cancellara have a gap, we have Iglinsky following Martin who is following Poels we have 18 seconds on the next group.
4 kms to go.
We hit the Cauberg.
Looks like Rodriguez has this, is Frank Schleck going to nick second from his teammate.
Rodriguez wins.
Iglinsky 6th

It would be great to see the team put in a late attack at LBL, depending on the race of course. |
