You shouldn't do it because you like recognition, you should do it because you like story writing. Sure, the recognition and community involvement is a big part of that from my experiences with similar situations and from what I've seen here, but ultimately it's not the sole reason you should be writing it!
You may also want to slow down a bit. It might help you keep your motivation up, and it will help others read it! I'm still back on page 4! I'd say no more than a stage or two a day, otherwise everything just progresses too fast! It may also help generate interest in your story, and continue it for longer.
One thing that you may want to do (and is something that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere for any of the stories that I've looked at so far) is maybe writing the story in word first, then saving it. That way, you can play it when you want (which at the moment looks like a lot) but still only trickle stages out. This could also be good if you want a break or lose interest in PCM in general, that way you can continue to post stages and continue the story, but don't actually have to continue to play the game.
Also, how much time and effort do you put into each stage? I'm thinking of starting my own story soon, but am currently experimenting with stage making, which is so far proving to be enough of a time consumer...
Good luck! |

Thanks for commenting. I want to continue it now. I don't know if speed of story makes problem to anyone, but i really love this tempo (since i have holiday right now). Everyone who missed something can go back and read it.
Also, for a story you need some time, but not so much. You should try,i bet 80% of community tried it once. Then, you find or not yourself there. Thanks again

hahaha, yeah, that's want I'm doing. Just reading through it at my own pace! It makes it difficult to comment on an event etc though, because you're already too far ahead, something that might be deterring others from commenting (but not reading your story, because it's pretty good). I'm not saying it's an issue, but just might be something that you want to keep in mind!
And thanks for the info, I might give it a shot soon! |

You just solved my mistery! I am actually loved around and every member is following my story, yaya! Naah, but yeah,i was wondering why only few people comment, and why they are (as me) 24/7 online . Got answer! I already did Strade Bianche, uploading pictures.

Amount of posters has nothing to do with followers.
I silently follow recent story updates when they're on the homepage of the site, just never post in any story thread...
Glad you still have motivation to keep going. Great results so far, good luck at the Strade Bianche

Good decision to continue. And don't worry about the speed, it'll drop automatically over time so it's not too bad that it's fast now |

The speed is fine, I think everyone has kept up so far. Good luck on the gravel. Maybe you can go for a top-20 or even a top-10. Good luck anyway!

Rainy day,but can ride well. We will try to get TOP20,we have our strongest hilly squad over here.
Rainy day in Italy brought us some surprises. Solid day for us. Lets jump on real report, now.
2 huge surprises, that caught me fastly, was Brajkovic and Caruso attacking and making firt breakaway group. It was successful one,and they got about 2 minutes of gap. Everyone got shocked of Astanas and Katushas decisions to send their best guys over here in first breakway.
Not so long after that, precisely 12 kms, 4 guys joined them. Their names are, going from last to first one: Locatelli,Santoro,Nowaczek and Bani.
Our photographer found enviroment at this race amazing so he took 1 more picture of breakway group. This time,we can see tower, cows and great flowers around.
Meanwhile.while he was enjoying nature, our guys and guys from Cannondale were working hard in group, trying to make gap smaller.
Group,to my surprise, easily got E1,and now there is only 1 big group. There is still 33 kms until finish line.
2 kilometers,4 minutes after that,Eros Capecchi decided to attack. Now,things are getting serious.
Only 1 our guy is in group behind. It's Matej Mugerli. Rogina was in group behind and Nose was in A2, atm.
Capecchi was going strong, and a bit after 5 kms banner his advantage was 34 seconds. We will see can he keep it.
Just right before sprint, when this picture is taken,15 seconds gap was on Capecchis hand. Seems like he is going to win this.
But no! Palini started sprint first and they easily got him. Now its fight between Paolini and Marcato. Who can take this?
Marcato seemed unbeatable today and he took won. Mugerli was with group, and that was great result!
Lets bring on results to see which place Matej got,and where his teammates finished.
