Turkey was a warmup, at the Giro they are aiming to get the whole bunch.

Great effort from Malori.
Felt Alba went about 50m to early. If he didnt go so early l think he could have had the legs. Super strong from Meersman again. Outstanding performance. |

Lol, Mezgec for 3rd consecutive day finishes on 4th.
Good win for Meersman, he'll be coming into Giro with a good chance of a stage win on hillier stages.

I seem to remember reading earlier that he's not doing the Giro this year, but I might be wrong.

Pro Cycling Stats has him listed for Giro, but maybe not indeed.
However it'd be great for him to grab stage win or two.

You're right, Giannimeersman.be says so
He will ride California instead, and the Vuelta as his GT this year

Meersman keeps impressing me, he'll never be a top sprinter, but if he can get the endurance, he could win some nice classics.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Well Cav's doing Giro so Meersman would have limited chances,
Great win anyway Isn't he not in top10 GC? |

Moves up to 3rd, 9 seconds behind Froome.
Not that it really matters, considering tomorrow's massive stage.

Except tomorrow's original stage route is aparently 50/50 due to snow on the Col de la Croix
Apparently a decision is due at 18:30...

Meersman really developing in this specialty. Could be a great sprinter for one week races in stages like this. Well, arleady is! |

Why does Meersman keep doing the weird sprints? |

Going from one side to the other, blocking other rider's. |

He wasn't blocking. The road turned and he took the straight line to the finish line, you can see it clearly from the sky.
Otherwise we would've seen the Astana rider getting angry after the finish, too |
