Santos Tour Down Under 2013

Gilbert and Matt Lloyd fell. not Gerrans. He just didn't have a goof day. Matt Wilson (Greenedge DS) has already said they've shifted their focus from GC to stage wins.

Yeah just read that. Unfortunate though, as Simon Clarke could have benefited from it, but was still helping Gerro.

Sky's winning already?

This is frightening

Great win from G, he will go nuts this season and wins a shitload of stages/races as the new Sky program comet. Frown
I'll be back

good to see Thomas get the win, he looked pretty good too

ahhh, how i've missed this Pfft

In an interview with Belgian media, Gilbert said he had already reached his maximum when Thomas attacked halfway the climb.

Curious to see Tim Wellens's stats in the 2013 database.

Nice finish from G, I'm sure he's going to have a great season. Stick some money on him to win Flanders.

Thomas has been training 3 weeks in Australia, this was expected.

Good to at least EBH not being on the front. Just imposibble to start season last season here, finish off in China and come here again expecting results.

Anyway, brilliant win Smile

Gerrans had fallen ill apparently, picked up a bug somewhere along the route. Or that could be Phil L talking rubbish, as per.

Well, that's actually good news, because he's not supposed to be in the best shape yet!

Anyone know a decent summary video of the stage?

Not decent, but the offical one isn't uploaded yet:

This will blow the lid of the Sky Doping Thread! Though I'm very happy, Thomas is a great rider, I'm glad he won, impressive! Though too bad for Gilbert.

So who's out for the GC already? Gilbert, De Gendt, Gerrans? Where did Schleck finish? Did he finish or did he realize this isn't the Tour? Pfft

Found him!

I'm glad that I didn't bet too much PCM$ on the GC Pfft

Great ride from Thomas. I also like what the Rabo, I mean Blanco youngsters are doing.(Slagter 5thGC+4th at Stage 2, Kelderman 12thGC + 8th at stage)

That crash must have knocked quite a few people back by the sounds of it. I saw highlights and Schleck was doing quite abut of work on the front for Machado and Bennett before their break.

Indeed, Slagter is confirming what he showed last year in Italy and Quebec!

Yes indeed. And as you know I'm a bit of a fanboy of both guys, so I'm really happy with that. And this race doesn't even suit Kelderman, he's better on longer climbs and TTs Wink

I thought it would make sutty very happy Pfft
Well, I guess everyone is happy, he's a great rider and deserves this win a lot!

Tomorrow we'll probably see another Lotto-train-dominance!

Anyone have info on finding this on TV in the USA, or streamed online in any reasonable quality?
It was eleven more than necessary.
