Nice to know We'll talk closer to transfer season and that'll depend whether I renew him and organise a deal with you or just let him go to free agency.

Nice work Aidan, good that you have a place for heroes of your country in your heart and at your shirt!
I see you are parting ways with Dennis and Herman, i hope they have been to some use for your team, now it is time for the cycling retirement in their cases.

They were of great use! Dennis was NC and Herman was an important lead out man. Herman might stay as I could loan him out to develop further (he's on XP 3 iirc)

Win in Africa, for an African on an African team!
Nearing the end of the racing season, we competed in one of our final races of 2013.The Rwandan on the team, Adrien Niyonshuti, took an amazing win in the Challenges Phosphatiers - a grueling classic in Morocco that tackles a long, steep climb no less than 20 times! Here is how the race unfolded:
Dennis (seen here in his SA national champ kit) slipped into the early breakaway - eventually joined by 4 others. The group reached a maximum gap of more than 10 minutes at a stage!
However, pace-making done by Gazelle in the peleton crushed the field and ate into the lead of the escapees. But Ihlenfedlt, Niyonshuti and Ngue all managed to stay in the main group that got reduced to 21 riders.
Niyonshuti launches a massive attack with 20km to go and causes disorganisation in the main group.
Niyonshuti caught up with the early breakaway group and was joined by race favourites Weening, Sanchez and Martinez.
A very aggressive Niyonshuti attacked the small group on the final climb with only Weening managing to follow. It was clear that the winner would be one of these two.
Niyonshuti started his sprint as the leadout, but he was clearly the stronger rider today and took a very well deserved victory for the team - one of the most proudest of the year! But let's not forget, our early escapee, van Niekerk, still managed to hang on for a very impressive and surprising 9th place!
Onward to next season for the new Project Africa!

Congrats on a great win! Must say, that I enjoyed the action in this classic, especially those several attacks by Niyonshuti And btw, both the new Egypt-NC and the South African NC for Van Niekerk look pretty cool

Meintjes: Rising to the Top
After going somewhat unnoticed during the season, Meintjes seems to be finding his shape in the latter end of the year. In the recent U23 World Championships, Meintjes rode for the Mixed Team. He showed his strength, stamina and climbing ability by forcing a hellish pace up the final climb - which put many riders into serious difficulty. However, it still came down to a sprint, but Louis showed his finesse by finishing 6th. We look forward to seeing what this youngster can achieve in the next few years. Onwards and upwards!
Meintjes, far left, sprinting to 6th place.
Unfortunately I messed up Meintjes's development. Instead of progressing to level 3, he only progresses to 2.99XP - SN doesn't believe in free XP points

In unofficial news, I've been working on an HQ for next year. It will be more structured and ordered and easier to keep track/updated.
Tell me what you guys think. Here is a little sneak preview of a rider profile:

Very good looking. I'm eager to see what else you can come up with, as you're definitely one of the best at this.
