Stage 5
Another hill stage just like the last 3. It has an uphill finish which should make it interesting. The team will be looking after me and my jersey like usual and hope for my 5th win in a row.
The Race
From the word go the team was on the front.
There were a lot of breakaway attempts but none of them stuck thanks to Dowsett setting a great pace.
Going over the top of the climb (110km to go) the break won the mountain sprint. It was Atopuma ahead of Duret and Kobzarenko. They had 1.10 on the peloton.
Going up the climb Cummings took over and caught the break almost instantly as you can see here.
A group of 16 went of the front containing all the favourites except for Navarro Garcia, Sutherland (again) and Zubeldia.
The 3 of us went over the top in a group fo 10 riders. Including Rolland, Efimkin, Charteau, Van Goolen, Fuglsang, Giordani and Calzati. All the riders are in the top 10 except for Cummings and Giordani.
At the sprint Cummings won ahead of Sorenson and myself. We are now 3.06 ahead of the next group which contains Atopuma and Luverde J.
The next sprint was won by Cummings again and I was 2nd followed by Sorenson. We are now 5 minutes ahead of the next group.
At the start of the 2nd last climb Sorenson started his turn and Cummings got onto my wheel.
Cummings dropped of along with Calzati and Giordani.
Next to drop was Charteau. Rolland no longer has any team mates.
Going over the 2nd last mountain top Sorenson got the points ahead of me and Rolland. There is only a group of 6 now.
With 20km to go we were 9km away from the final sprint point.
I won the sprint ahead of Sorenson and Fuglsang. The mountain starts in about 2km.
With 10km to go the first of the favourites attacked and that was Van Goolen. I decided not to follow just yet.
Then 1km later I decided to follow Efimkin.
With 8km to go I attacked and I went straight past Van Goolen and was in the lead.
With 4km to go I was 54 seconds ahead of a group of 2 containing Fuglsang and Rolland.
Fuglsang dropped Rolland with 2km to go and was now in hot pursuit of me.
And I win again. What a great race. I am so happy. I gained another minute or so on Fuglsang.

The biggest competitors are Fuglsang and Rolland. I have the difficulty on hard so I don't know what is going on. I just won a mountain stage on hard against guys like Rodriguez and Anton.

Maybe they're a bit off-shape, the competition?
Anyway, I can't see how Wiggins can still lose this stage race so nicely done |

I would have posted the start list but I forgot to export it.

Stage 7
The first flat stage. Today is go all out for Stuart Shaw.
The Race
As always the race started not with a breakaway but with the team getting
on the front.
As the peloton went through the first sprint point there was a leading group of 12 riders. They had about a minute or so.
As soon as the break was caught more people attacked.
This time it was Wilkonson upfront along with Vives and Dion. More people were chasing behind.
Soon a group of 8 joined together out front and got 1.30 on the peloton just before the first climb.
The peloton went over the top 2.09 behind the leading group. We are still leading the peloton and I am now in 2nd spot.
The leading group of 10 (now joined by Zaugg and Goesinnen) was 2.07 ahead with 108km to go. It is almost flat and downhill from now on.
Cummings swapped with Lancaster about 2km after the sprint point. The leading group has almost 3 minutes on us now.
With 40km to go 5 of the riders in the leading group attacked. They included Goesinnen, Lund, Zaugg, Dion and Wilkinson. They had 41 seconds on the 2nd group and 1.47 on the peloton.
Then with 31km to go other teams decided to take over the pace making and bring back the breakaway.
The first of the groups got brought back with 30km to go and the leading group only had 1.30 now.
With 20km to go it was still Europcar on the front. The leading group now had 1.14.
With 10km to go they only had 23 seconds. It will definitly come down to a sprint.
With 5km to go Sorenson had come up and got on the front so I got on his wheel. We were now working for Phinney as Shaw had no more energy.
The break has also just been caught.
With 2km to go we were in the lead and I was on the front.
With 1km to go I was still in front with Phinney just coming past. Can we hold of Gatto and Eackhout?
No we can’t but neither of them won. It was Charteau, once again Anthony Charteau won the SPRINT stage. Not a mountain. A sprint.
Charteau won ahead of Gatto and Phinney. I came in 4th place just ahead of Eackhout.

It would take a massive disaster for Wiggo to lose this race now |

Stage 10
The last stage of the Qinghai Lake Road tour. I am looking forward to it as it is a TT. I should do great. I will keep the report short as the Vuelta is up next.
The Race
The early fastest time was wet by N.Oliveiro with a time of 41.21
However the time was anialated by Phinney who even managed to pass someone.
Finally it was my turn. I am chasing Fuglsang. Going down the ramp I felt great as usual.
With only 14 riders left to go through the finish Roberts was leading.
With 10km to go I had passed Fuglsang and was only 400m behind Rolland but had I gone to hard to early?
It was official. I had gone out to fast to early and Fuglsang had passed me again but can I still win?
Here I am going over the finish line. Had I done it?
YES!!!!!!!!!!! I had done it. I had won by 36 seconds on Roberts and 44 on Sutherland. I thought I had thrown it away with 5km to go but obviously not. I won again.

I won by over 10 ½ minutes on Fuglsang. I am so happy. I know it is only a small race but it is amazing. I am really hoping to return in the future.
Thanks

Excellent. Like I said before, Charteau should count himself lucky, the only winner here besides Wiggins |

@sutty68-thanks for the support
@ianbutler-there was 1 other winner I believe in the 2nd flat stage but I didn't get to race it because it just skipped it completely. Thanks for the support.
Next up is the vuelta. This is a surprising race. Unfortunately I simulate after the angliru because of the equipment problem.
Thanks guys

Okay guys.
I have bad news for you. This story has to stop. My game has stuffed up again and I can't get past the day with Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne in it. I will be starting another story soon but this time with no equipment. Sorry guys and thanks for following while it lasted.
Thanks
