Saxo Bank doing good so far. Breakaway 3 times, mountain jersey, 8th first sprint, 6th second sprint. Not as bad as (some) thought they would be.
Nasty crash, hope no GC riders got hurt (or others, but dont know how realistic it is)
Wiggo fell for sure, don't know about his condition...
Dont think so. Eisel was the guy in Sky kit down
Dutch and Belgian media both say Wiggins and Cavendish both fell over Robbie Hunter.
This is what Eisel looks like: https://twitter.com/UCI_Overlord/stat...70/photo/1
Nothing on twitter about Wiggins, so unlikely to be serious

The jury obviously misread it as "most awesome rider"

He started the attack, worked at the front for the whole break, and continued to push at the end when the others retires. Plus he probably used his Jedi mind tricks on the judges.

French teams need TV exposure, cause they are not going to get anything else from this race |

They could've sent someone else. Moncoutié needs to save himself for the mountains.

Yeah, just seems very odd to not be any other team member. Maybe he's annoyed the DS somehow |

Any info on how the crash actually happened yet or what the cause was? |

As a note now though, I think I'm starting to favor Evans even more in the GC as this goes on. So far they BMC Team has been doing a great job of protecting Evans, knowing where to be and when. Wiggens on the other hand while still being protected from the crashes, is getting caught in them. I think this all plays in BMC's favor later on.

I just saw the last 10km so I have a question:
I was said that FDJ did some borderline move with Di Gregorio involved causing a split.. What did they do there or did they nothing?

He attacked out of the break about 40km from the end and stayed ahead for a while.

Not to mention Wiggins has already lost one of his top Mountain Domestiques, while Evans has all teammates I think, and we already know TVG is in great form.

I don't know about you guys, but I think that this would be a different race if Sky brought Danny Pate. For one, Sivtsov is already out of it, showing that choosing him over Danny was a stupid mistake. And the whole team hasn't had a clue about what to do/where to be. They are a complete mess. If Danny Pate were here, Cavendish would have another stage win, because Danny actually knows how to look after his team mates and keep them out of trouble. I must be Nostradamus or something because I told you all before the race started that without Danny Pate, Sky will not succeed. Good enough for them.

The fact of Sivtsov being already out doesn't mean that it was a mistake bringing him to the Tour. He had a broken bone (I don't remember which one xD) so it wasn't his fault. And actually it was a better choice than Pate because the main focus of Team Sky is the GC for Bradley and Sivtsov would be a much better Team Mate in the Mountains... |

I cant even read the rest of the post after that!
Do you think Pate would still be there with a fractured Tibia?
Edit: Yeah, you better actually be joking, or else.... yeah...
I think anyone could predict a Sky fail. They are going for 2 jerseys, and will probably get 0. They didn't choose Pate, because they did not need him.
Sivstov vs. Pate is an awful comparison too, since I bet Sivstov is there for Wiggins where as Pate could only be there for Cav.

I put my last 20 pcm$ on Cavendish today
