Yes and did you notice they are competing against Rabobank-Asics as well as Rabobank-Chevrolet Rabobank will soon echo in everyone's heads.. And meanwhile the original Rabobank has probably become QuickStep-Shimano or something lol.
I love how Balencia proved you wrong by winning the tour right after you had written him off, Jack (Or actually maybe you already knew it) |

The real Rabobank is still Rabobank, don't you worry.
The only problem is that there are 38 other teams named Rabobank too.
And 7 Skys.
PS: Here are the stats of the best riders who are 25 or younger.

I'm feeling sorry I have asked, must be hell difficult to manage a game like that if you weren't just simulating |

A flurry of (former) major riders retired this season. Green Jersey-winner Hugo Glück, Vuelta-winner del Bosque, Classic-specialist Loic Collignon and Peter Sagan were among theose who left us. Thibaut Pinot and Mattia Cattaneo also packed up their bags and left. Pinot sadly never blossomed into what many thought he might be.
However, the world still goes on and what a season we had! Holland remained surpreme as the one of the leading nations when it came to the spring races. Thies Klaasen once again proved himself a major force by doing what has only been achieved in the past by Rik van Looy; winning all three major Flanders-classics in the same season. Van Looys achievement was set way back in 1962 so it was a long overdue.
You don't have to go very far from Holland to find the other sensation this year; Benoit Collbach from Luxemburg. Even though the only major race he won this season was Liege - Bastogne-Liege, he still had a memorable season by picking up both the point- and youth jersey in the Vuelta, a 5th place overall and several days in the Red Jersey.
There were only a few surprices in the Grand Tours this year, but they made up for it. Perhaps the biggest sensation was Aleksandr Kupiainen from Finland who won the TdF in style with more then 5 minutes down to number 2. Being only 25 years of age and one of the youngest GT-winners in a long time, he might be the one to dominate the coming years. What wasn't a shock to anyone was Arnoud Augereaus 4th "maglia rosso passione" in a row. With this he equalls the all-time record and it will come as no surprice should he take the record for himself.
Last but not least, perhaps the biggest upset ever, the winner of the last big race of the season was from Oman! Osama Al Shahrani took not only the biggest result in his life, but also the biggest result from a cyclist from Oman ever. A lucky breakaway, he left his companions in the dust and attack. Not a second to soon, since the peloton crossed the line only 4 seconds behind.

As you requested, Peter Sagan in his very last year as a cyclist. You'll be happy to know he was able to squeeze out a few more wins in the end.

I think that it is so weird and interesting to watch the development of the cyclists from unknown countries in cycling today, and how much cycling nations today are slowly starting to fail in the game. Hope the game can handle going further and further into the future!

This gets better every year. A Finland-Russia-Russia podium at the Tdf, a San Marinese stage winner, and most incredibly someone learned how to ride a bike across in Oman? And even won Lombardia....!
Big up Colbach, he seems fun |

Two things stands out after this season. Most notably the breakthrough season of Canadian rider Tommy Lefebvre. This was the first time he was given the role as a leader and from what we can tell, it won't be the last. He broke onto the scene by taking impressive wins in Pais Vasco, Romandie and France-Plouay aswell as taking the 3rd place in the CQ-ranking behind such famous names as Moises Aguila and Tadgh Holland.
Thies Klaasen might have dissapointed some this year by "only" winning Ronde Van Vlaanderen of the Flanders-classics, but one who didn't dissapoint was Benoit Colbach. A fantastic season for him which left him with wins in both La Fleche Wallonie and Liege-Bastogne-Liege, San Sebastian and a 2nd place in the WC. He also showed us that he is not just a one-day-races by yet again riding well in the Vuelta.
Gabrielle Cinzia took another win in the Giro for the Italians and even though they weren't as dominant as they had been, Italy still got 4 riders in the top 10. The major surprises however, was Kenyan rider Peter Tsimonjero grabbing an 8th place overall by going in a few lucky breakaways. In the Tour de France Mikhail Turov finally took the top spot on the podium after being in the top5 on several occasions. Last years winner, Aleksandr Kupiainen came 2nd making his statistic a 1st and a 2nd place in two TdF-appearances.
As you all remember, last years winner of Lombardia was from Oman. Many might have though that this was yet again a rider with "15 minutes of fame", but not this time. Osama Al Shahrani has had a fantastic season even though he didn't get a single win. 7th in Amstel Gold Race, 2nd in San Sebastian, 20th in the Tour de France and 3rd in the Vuelta are very good results and maybe he will be the driving force behind Omans cycling future.
One can only dream, but with riders from such nations such as San Marino, Kenya and Oman who are producing great results, maybe we will see a minor shift in the cycling world.
