How exactly does this fit in Riis his plan to stay in WT?

Presumably he thinks he can get the no points rule scrapped
Alternatively, Contador = Wildcards

Or they'll simply merge with Liquigas, giving them all the points needed from Basso and Sagan. |

Very happy about this though. They are a perfect match. So all the thing Contador + manager said have been true even though many people thought he would go to Movistar. Really nice.
I guess Riis also have a sponsor for the next years though its not official.

That would be terrible for Sagan. No way he would get leadership chances when he has to spend important tours working for Contador.

I dont think so, Sagan major goals should be the classics and maybe one GT added and there would be Conta with 1 or 2 GTs per year, not a big problem imo. Even when they would be both on start of same GC, i would not see a big problem in it,as Sagan is almost one man team alone and he needs one or two helpers at most.
Edit:And if Riijs would be the manager, he is not stupid to let someone like Sagan work for Conta all year

Shocked to see Contador staying, I really expected him to go to Movistar.
Big question now is: Where will the Schlecks go to? Surely they don't want to stay with JB?

Contador was unhappy because his teammates weren't good enough at Saxo, right? Maybe he has signed domestiques with a lot of points already?

I'm not that familiar with the rules (which in my opinion are stupid), but wont Contador score a good amount of points by winning the Vuelta?
I also hope that Riis manage to get some more good riders in his squad, when I started to watch cycling I remember the commentators called CSC the "Manchester United of cycling", it just seems strange to see them have such a "poor" squad...

Banned riders can't earn any WT points anymore untill 3 (?) years after their ban.

Ah, that explains it. Too bad for Riis then. Is there any riders out of contract, that would be possible for him to sign AND would give them a good amount of WT points?

This. It seems like that Liquigas - Saxo merge rumour could have some legs.

Well, I really don't know. This year's RadioShack team is so weird, that I think they should and they will leave. But where should they go? Who can pay so much money for them and maybe Cancellara and some other guys like Voigt as well.. I don't see a team like that..

Maybe they'll be free agents for a few years, PCM style |
