Transfer Announcment Press Release #2
"Today, the 24th of July, we would like to welcome a highly talented and ambitious french rider into our squad. He is 22 years of age, and has achieved some fantastic results of late. We can announce that he will replace one of our high-tier riders who has decided to leave us this season and will remain unnamed at this time. Also, we would like to welcome another young and talented rider to our squad. He has produced some fantastic results on both track and road, last year winning the Omnium at the Track world championships. In 2008, he won the Australian U19 Mens ITT National Championship. These two signings will definetly bolster our squad for next year and hopefully become great assets to our team."
"As stated above, we regret to inform you that David Cimolai will no longer ride for our team as of next year. He has signed a contract for Colnago, where he will join the likes of Sascha Modolo and Domineco Pozzovivo. This information was somehow 'leaked', and we will try to prevent this from ever happening again. We wish David all the best for his future endeavours and that he can fulfill his potential."

Ehhh. I have so many more of these to do it's not funny.
How is the way the transfers/announcments are being presented? Should I scrap the 'Cycling News' scaffold idea and so on?

Team JB-HIFI Press Release
There have been many questions to what we will do during the off-season, which riders we'll sign and which we won't, and what general direction the team wil be going in for next year.
Firstly, we are looking to sign around 5-6 riders for the coming season to help expand our team. We feel we need more riders in our team as this year, we have lacked consistency and with more riders, there is more variety. We always intended to have a strong start to the season and a strong finish, and give the riders a break during the mid-season, but at the small number of mid-season races, we rarely even made a result.
We will be keeping our U25 rule, with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions, but that will still only make 2-3 riders over 25 years of age in our team.
Next season we'll be looking to race in at least 1 WT race, wether it be the TDU or the Giro we don't know yet because we simply haven't thought that far ahead.
We are in negotiations with a 32-year old accomplished climber who will, if contracted, make a great addition to the team, and also a 25-year old Belgian stage racer. We are looking at contracting a small number of older riders, not because 'we're selling out', but because the experience they bring to a team such as ours will be of tremendous importance and will give our younger riders a chance to work with accomplished and established riders.
We also have 5 riders off contract this season, 2 of them already having found teams, David Cimolai and another unnamed rider. We re-signed Kenny Elissonde because he has worked so hard for our team, and it's a nice way to repay him with an extended contract.
We would also like to announce that Krystof Mawrocki and Seth Taylor will be leaving the team at the end of the season, as neither have made any sort of impact, and they simply wish to move on.

Nothing more tonight, photobucket won't work
@ Miguel98: Thanks I enjoyed making them.
@ sutty68: I would upload his stats now but I can't.
He has so much potential to improve it almost looks like he's not human

This race was raced while I was getting back into the game, so it was not reported and seemingly of no significance whatsoever. And it was also where Valls took a great win!
And with the Volta Portugal, I will only be reporting on the important stages, which will start with the 3rd stage and end with the 11th and final stage. A short recap of the second stage:
Kenny Elissonde and our new trainee Juan Honorio got into a break with around 8 other riders. With 20km remaining, the break still had a gap of over 2 minutes. With 8km left, Elissonde realised there was no possible way he would ever win the sprint, as the other riders around him were far too strong, so he attacked, and attacked, and attacked some more, until eventually, he built up a slender margin over the group.
He was still in front with a kilometre to go, Honorio had dropped off the back of the group after looking after his compatriot for the entire day. This young man is destined for greatness, he rode amazingly.
It lokked as though one in the break could bridge and take over Elissonde, until Jack Bauer (GAR) exploded from the back of the group and came so cloed, but Elissonde prevailed!

Development update, August.
Here is the team roster and attributes at the start of the current season:
..And here is the roster/attributes now, in August:
We have some amazing potential in the team, and this is primarily shown through Adam Phelan. He has only just started improving since June, and has improved so much, it's scary, how much more potential does he have?
Tim Roe is coming along nicely, he has had a slow year, but has a hectic end of year schedule that should he him to improve himself.Nathan Haas and Rafael Valls have both steadily and slowly improved throughout the year, and will most likely continue to do so if they keep up their hard training schedules and prolific racing.Kenny Elissonde has also begun to show his worth and potential of late, especially after taking that fantastic win in Portugal!
Our riders development was never ment to be very fast, as we limited the number of races for our riders to participate in this year and we don't want to overwork them. So, with this, we are extremely happy. The only exception to this is Nick Van der Lijke who had proved himself worthy to join our team, but has underperformed greatly. We hope that he can get himself back together and come out firing next year, and for any other races he participates in this year.

Transfer Announcment Press Release #3
Today, the managment here at Team JB-HIFI would like to welcome a young Belgian prospect to the team.
He has been compared to Tom Boonen in his riding style, as he is fairly good on cobbles and can pack a fair sprint. So without further adue, we would like to welcome Jens Keukeleire to the team for season 2013! We hope that under our team he can express his full potential and achieve some great results for the team.

Well, i've come accross a fair bit of free time and was thinking about getting this going again. I only had a couple of followers, but that wasn't the reason I originally stopped, it was because I never realied how time consuming story writing actually was, with this being my first story and all. Well, this will hopefully be updated at a later date. Stay tuned.
