about best Tour what I have seen (live and recorded stages).
2003 tour. Never had been so close at the top..and so close to Lance..
Team leaders like: Basso, Ulle, Lance, Mayo, Vinokurov, Beloki, Hamilton, Virenque..
This was magic.. like dream team |

Greipel should get some sprint training..
Unbelievable that he won a stage with this bad positioning (his first Tour but a sprint is a sprint isn't it?) and now getting 3rd from nowhere.. While Cavendish won oh wonder
This so much, if you look at the different sprints, the starting positions from Greipel and Cavendish, it's quite clear Greipel is actually the faster one. He does get positioned bad, partly because of failing team mates but partly because he let himself get pushed away by for example R. Feillu... I expect him to beat Cavendish more often in the coming years. |

Well, I still have to admit I quite enjoyed the Tour in 2003. Maybe cause I had the opportunity to watch it back then. |

Leopard Trek - Ture racing... Without the leos that had be a boring Tour! Two Luxembourgish Rider in the Top 3 is amazing for our little country! We are very proud about their performance! Next year the Schlecks will come back and do the 1 2 |

For me, this Tour was almost as interesting as was the Giro this year, I really don't remember when I could wrote something like that for the last time. I was quite surprised with this race, I thought the first 2 weeks would be except of 2 or 3 days complete boring, but in the end, almost every day was interesting. Yyeah, some days only thankfully to some falls, but that's anyway part of the race every year IMO. I hope Vuelta will be fun too, hopefully with less falls!
And about today, really no surprise, maybe only except of 5th place of Cancellara..

Are you serious?
The first week was horrible, only crashes made a difference. Mur-de-Bretagne, Alouettes and Super-Besse made no gaps for GC contendors. Only crashes did. That week delivered nothing but destroying a lot of GC contenders before they even had the chance to proof themselves.
The second week was the biggest dissapointment with no action in the pyrenees. Unbelievable really that a stage as that to Luz Ardiden and Plateau de Beille delivered so little.
The third week was fantastic from the get go. Only week with true racing.
In fact it was so good, people like Roman suddenly start to believe the first 2 weeks were good as well. But they forgotten the agony because the last week was so great. |

The third week was great. And i started allmost to like Contador again, when he was so aggressive and attack!

I mean the fight for the GC! I think the Schlecks have done a great show in the pyrenees with their attacks, unfortunately they couldn't get away. I found it poor that all the other riders, were running so defensive almost like in Roubaix. Hopefully the new generation of riders will not follow the example of wheel sucking. Here there had been some horrible crashes of GC contenders, but all this riders weren't top 3 contenders. I think the only one, who has taken a big advantage from this situations was Thomas Voeckler and not the Schlecks. |
