It's a part of a documentary about Michael Rasmussen that's being shown on Thursday, so we will have to wait until then to see the context of the questions.

He has stolen that from Ullrich who has said the exact same thing with the same words in 2007.

Even if don't understand Danish, it's worth watching the clip. Rasmussen's expressions are gold:

It's amazing how this bullshit of "they're all on dope, so it isn't cheating" is being repeated over and over again. While I understand that Mr.Chicken won't make a step forward and say "yep, I'm a cheater", specially when he's kinda trying to rebuild his career, I'd appreciate if he didn't make it as if we the fans were stupid.

Well let's list up a evryone from the top 5 who have been implicated in doping or have been suspended the last edition at the tour, shall we?

2010:
1 Alberto Contador: Clen case that has not been resolved yet.

2 Andy Schleck: His brother Frank was at Fuentes, dont know
about Andy though

3 Denis Mensjov: He was suspected to be a client at a
humanplasma lab in Vienna

4 Samuel Sánchez: Nothing actualy.

5 Jurgen Van den Broeck: Scores a 8 out of 10 on the UCI list.

This is just from last year. So i belive that the top contenders dope. It's not fair that Rasmussen has been "blacklisted" by the UCI while other riders return to top level sport. Why does he have to admit anything? He did his time and should return to a top team.

Oh! I thought that 198 riders ride the Tour every year. It looks like I was wrong, and it's only 5.

That's very likely true. It still doesn't make doping alright.

He isn't the only one. To be honest, I don't give a shit about it. And since he doesn't show any remorse, and even justifies his actions, I'd rather have him not riding at all.

You just have missed the bit where I said I don't expect him to admit anything.

No, he shouldn't.

Is he even good enough to return to a top team? I mean, he finished behind Gabriel Rasch in a mountain top finish Pfft

Not fair ?
What's not fair is that the others are still riding, not that Rasmussen cannot ride.
The situation is unfair to clean riders (yes there are many), not to Rasmussen.

I doubt you can take this list for real or as an argument for doping

No indication what is really what and do you think Contador deserves just a 5 after being in a team like Liberty Seguros and being the only one who got tested positive in the Tour 2010 (maybe more but thats what the public know)?

I think this list is pretty much useless

Rasmussen hasn't been blacklisted. He served his ban and is now back riding. What's the problem?

It's not useless, it just shouldn't be taken for what it's not.

From memory, it was based on four main criteria :
- doping history/probability, etc.
- recent performances (either good or bad, compared to the habits of the considered rider)
- number of tests performed lately on the rider
- supposed importance of the rider in the upcoming race (not sure about that one)

Of course it helps selling paper and cutting trees to say it's a doping habits score. But it's not. It's a list that aims to help doping inspectors to know which riders to target. Not something else.

Those rumours that UCI kindly advises, for their own sake, major teams not to sign him ?

CrueTrue
But that's just rumours.

Besides, MR hasn't exactly proved that he deserves being on a top team.

That was the criteria if i remember correctly there was also

- Blood Passport Fluctuation(how much difference between test)
- And something to do with suspicion of team of some sort something about how clean the team historically has been etc.
- And improved performance like Van der Broeck in the tour Geriant Thomas in RVV and Tour etc

It quite useful actually to gauge how the UCI test and what they are looking for.

Thomas Dekker documentary was on TV yesterday. Says if people want to know where he got his doping, he says "There is no Italian link. If they really want to find out, search it closer to home (eg Netherlands)".

Other than that, Dekker seems very insecure about himself and seems to be very afraid to let other people (family/friends) down, which mentally seems to block him. I hope he can come back ok. But he is mentally really fragile, at least, in the documentary of past 1.5 years.
Long road ahead of him. I can see why JV doesn't want him in Garmin PT squad, his physical tests are not good enough yet and he seems to be doubting himself too much.

Immolarious
I watched the doc as well yesterday, I think it would be best for him to start in a small team this year to get his confidence back. And prove to the big teams that he is still in a good shape.

That is what he will try to do with Garmin-Chipotle development team

Watched it aswell, and I ofund it very interesting to see. It really showed how disconnected a rider can become from reality while doping and what it does afterwards.

That reminds me of Indurain's radio interview a few years ago with a journalist who happened to be his friend. Off the top of my head it went something like this:

JMG: Miguel now I'm going to ask you some less nice questions. Just tell me the truth. If there's anything you don't want to tell the truth about, just say so and we'll skip the question

Induráin: OK

JMG: Is it true you and Delgado never got along?

Induráin: It's nonsense. Pedro is a friend

JMG: Have you ever doped?

Induráin: Let's jump to the next question

JMG:.........Miguel.......that's like admitting you did

Induráin: Next question

JMG: Miguel please just tell me the truth!

Induráin: Next question

Apparently Belgian customs have intercepted a doping stuff package shipped to Wim Vansevenant.
WVS retired 3 years ago, and was supposed to drive OPL guests during the upcoming TDF.

Say I was wondering what the next doping affair would be and who it'd involve. I'm a bit disappointed, I expected something more South.
