I bought the game this morning and just played my first stage (to Alpe d'Huez). I thought the AI of PCM 2010 was just crap: you just couldnt influence the race, it just feeled like looking at a boring TDF-stage. PCM 2011, however, is great. After playing 1 mountainstage I could already see this game is much better than PCM 2010. You can actually influence the race and by adding the feature that you can't ride through eachother the peloton feels like cycling. You have to try to keep up in the first part of the peloton, so you won't be surprised by gaps (for example Sanchez (80 CL) lost several minutes).
To show you an example of the peloton that feels like a real peloton: here is a screenshot from the first group after the Galibier:

That his effort to hold his place in the peloton is too low and that he is ''moving back'' in the peloton. So you have to increase his power.

that's a nice feature.
does it mean that riders won't waste completely themselves for holding the position in the peloton even when their effert is set on low levels? |

Finally some feedback! Great. More!
I want to know if hilly races are also better than last years. Especially Amstel Gold. Could you test it? |
