Hopefully they will be able to get rid of Contador's wage soon. Might be enough to save them for the end of the season.
Wasn't Specialized Bicycle firm and money behind that move? |

Sungard has a contract for 2012, so they are saying.
But without Contador, is Specialized still interested in taking over the head sponsorship? |

Not putting my money on it.
Do Sungard have the money/will to run a top tier team on their own?

Pozzato and Paolini are dropped from Katusha Giro squad. Doesn't bode well for Pozzato, almost defintely will leave next year.

Thomas Dekker linked to Vaughters team now.
Meh... Say I was expecting some dodgy team. Well, after all maybe Garmin-Cervélo's just one more of those. |

Benatti out of Tour de Romandie and Girowith broken collarbone.
The already very weakish Leopard Giro squad is not looking better after this :
101 Daniele Bennati (Ita) ------ Out
102 Dominic Klemme (Ger)
103 Thomas Rohregger (Aut)
104 Tom Stamsnijder (Ned)
105 Bruno Pires (Por)
106 Davide Vigano (Ita)
107 Fabian Wegmann (Ger)
108 Wouter Weylandt (Bel)
109 Oliver Zaugg (Swi)

It would be too hazardous for July. What if Mt.Etna blew up when he will be at the top ?

I wouldn't make such a fuss about it. You already know the Giro doesn't really fit their season goals, so why waste any of their best domestiques in a massively hurtful race like this?
Besides who else could they bring that could make a difference, not counting the Schlecks obviously?
I prefer these 'frenchy' squads with no leaders, where everyone may have a free role to animate the stages. The Giro has enough contenders as it is.

Voigty has ridden Giro - Tour double many times, and often livens up some stages.

Hushovd to renegotiate contract in July with Garmin. Not having his best season so far.
Wouldny be surprised if same went with Haussler, arguably the most dissapointing rider of the year for me so far.

Keep in mind that Haussler was injured for a long time last season and he said he will need this season to find back his old form.
