yeah, maybe start the following season with negative points (like in football) or take a fine. |

As long as the managers make their team, make the transfers and make the raceplanners I see no reason to throw them out because they don't write comments troughout the season... We are plenty of people commenting, so I don't think everyone needs to do that if they don't want to.
A team like La Gazzetta would be a pity to let down the drain if Mrlol are actually following the game and is ready for the transfer period imo... They are currently in 2nd place so he surely knows what he is doing no matter if he is commenting or not,

True but as SN said Mrlol have been very very active in previous seasons. I think we should take that into account, in case he actually wants to continue. We don't know that yet, so it could be no problem really.

It's not enough to be active in the pre-season activities. It's just as important to be active during the season - at least race comments. |

Fair enough... If that's the voice of the people kick out the inactive managers.

And it seems that if they were really active they woudl react to this. |

My own feeling is sack them before the season ends - with the exception of mrlol - who if he is logging in and not posting has probably lost interest in his taam anyway. |

What difference does it make sacking before the season ends, or simply disbanding the team at the season end?

When I say sack them before the season ends - I mean take the decision to get rid of them.
The team will continue racing and be disbanded at season end.
For example if you take the decision now to sack some of the inactive managers it makes it the promotion / relegation battles a bit clearer.

I support that you punish those who are inactive during most of the season. I know that some periods, people can't get online, but it's a whole season to be active in.

How about this point in the season is the one that you make the decision that certain teams will not be continuing next season?
You then nominate these riders to ride the WC as riders like Taaramae and Cunego should be there. This is the point of no return for the team managers. |

Maybe you don't need to write those players out yet, but I do think that you should be able to grandfather in the top riders whose managers are missing SN. |

A couple of my thoughts:
- I like that it means an active manager can celebrate having a World Champion
- It gives added variation in the starting fields, so theyre different from year to year
In real life, the best riders dont all target the Worlds, afterall

True enough - and I definitely 100% agree that it's better an active manager can celebrate having a World Champion.
On the other hand, I think it's a sackable offense that you don't enter them in the world champs.
(The other way to do it would be that the riders not entered would demand x3 on their salary to remain if the manage did somehow return an re-take control. However, I thin I'd prefer sacking to give the promotion chase added clarity). |

A couple of thoughts I had which have been raised before by Heine amongst others was to tackle the the few teams in a race issue:
I think a couple of soft changes:
1) Increase the squads to 32 teams (currently 29)
2) Increase the race days up to 160 per team
3) Take a couple of races out (whilst maintaining a balance).
I was thinking about a minimum team entry per race but this would be difficult to implement I think.
Regarding the world championship issue - similar to the Tour de L'Avenir, I think SN has it spot on (as usual) it really should be there only for teams of active managers. It hurts Italy and Estonia (and also Croatia I might add) quite a bit but it is good to allow active managers a chance to cheer their heroes on!

I don't know about the first 1, no one really gets close to the limit, most teams are around the 20 rider mark.
I probably agree with 2, while I'm sure 3 will be done, as races will get shifted around, particularly if we go to pcm10/11

I think you read him wrong mb, he meant increase the number of teams to 32 (CT) instead of 29

Well then we add 770 race days with less races, that will make plenty of races become overcrowded, so I don't think that is feasable
