The problem is that the "RadioShack Corporation" want a Top 3 in the Giro, so I plan with Leipheimer as leader there. But Machado and Paulinho will be also there as free rider and luxury team mates at the mountains.

Leipheimer can easily reach a top 3 there, or even the win.
Dpends. In my Giro the field was incredibly strong. Cunego and Ricco were unbeatable. Then with Scarponi, Basso and Nibali even more top riders. Plus the Italian bonus.
I rode with Vandevelde. But nevertheless Top3 is possible.
Vandevelde ends third, right?
I think Leipheimer makes the podium, it is his season goal 2010 (of course he will also compete in the Tour de France and in the WITT), but probably not more. He already losts stats:
Still our second leader, but weaker now in TTs.
THE REPORT:
Depart today in beautiful Nice!
The first intermediate sprint, located in Plan du Var. No really breakaway now, still a lot of attackers.
Romain Zingle (Cofidis) 3
Martin Elmiger (AG2R) 2
Mikhail Ignatiev (Katusha) 1
At the Col de la Porte now a 12-men break in front, including Levi Leipheimer, Christian Vande Velde and Josep Jufré.
Marcus Burghardt (BMC) 10
Romain Zingle (Cofidis) 8
Martin Elmiger (AG2R) 6
Russell Downing (Sky) 4
Xavier Florencio (Cervélo) 3
Christian Vande Velde (Garmin) 2
Mikhail Ignatiev (Katusha) 1
The col de la Turbie, the front group now with 4 minutes in front.
Mikhail Ignatiev (Katusha) 10
Romain Zingle (Cofidis) 8
Christian Vande Velde (Garmin) 6
Marcus Burghardt (BMC) 4
Russell Downing (Sky) 3
Romain Sicard (Euskaltel) 2
Xavier Florencio (Cervélo) 1
Nice view for the rider at this downhill. Omega Pharma start to work against the breakaway.
The Col d'Èze, the last hill before the finish.
Russell Downing (Sky) 10
Romain Sicard (Euskaltel) 8
Xavier Florencio (Cervelo) 6
Romain Zingle (Cofidis) 4
Martin Elmiger (AG2R) 3
Markus Burghardt (BMC) 2
Mikhail Ignatiev (Katusha) 1
No moves in the pack, even Samuel Sanchez seemed to be happy with his 29th place. So Yaroslav accelerated, tried to get away.
But maybe he was too late. Just 12 seconds infront, and Katusha and Omega Pharma does not let him go.
With 9km to go, they caught Yaroslav. So just the 24th place in the overall for him.
The situation is clear, one of these six rider will get the stage win (Romain Sicard, Martin Elmiger, Russell Downing, Romain Zingle, Xavier Florencio and Marcus Burghardt).
The sprint begins. Downing the favourite, he is the best sprinter in this group.
And just as expected, Russell Downing wins today!
Leipheimer with another poor performance, but with that shape he had probably no chance. Behind him the peloton sprinting for the rest of the points (Hushovd "wins" ahead of Haussler and Sagan).

Well, Cancellara 2th, Lars Boom 5th, Hushovd 10th, and Gilbert as winner of Paris-Nice 2010. I "love" the realism from PCM.

Congrats to Tommeke, he looked in the sprints like in the past, he seems to be in shape for the cobble classics and Milano-San Remo.
Yes but just because of this buggy stage, where nobody follows you on the narrow roads. I didn`t know this bug before, also Ricco and Cunego followed. But with these 4min I gained there I was able to win the 3rd with just a few seconds to Nibali
Vandevelde was 77mo in the beginning and 76 before the last week and 77 TT.
@ roturn
Still impressive, even with that bug to get Vande Velde third
@ Pellizotti2
Yeah, but it was just a preparation race for him. Before the Giro, he will ride the Tour de Romandie, maybe one of the hilly classics and the Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco.
Tirreno - Adriatico Stage 5: Chieti - Colmurano, 226,6 km
Probably the deciding stage of this years Tirreno-Adriatico (classified as mountain stage). The Forca di Presta (11,4 km, 7,5%), the Frontignano (4,2 km, 9,2%) and Le Arette (4,5 km, 7,3 %) will kill most of the rider, at the final 20 kilometer just small hills, and the finish an uphillsprint to Colmurano. Also a good profile for a breakaway.
Team goals:
- Stay in the frontgroup (Klöden)
- "Damage limitation" (Zubeldia, Machado)
- Join the breakaway
Favourites: Ivan Basso, Alexandre Vinokourov, Roman Kreuziger, Damiano Cunego, Juan Mauricio Soler. My tip: Vino win ahead Damiano Cunego.

Here the breakaway, including Koos Mourenhout, Gerald Ciolek, Charles Wegelius, Nicki Sörensen and Fumiyuki Beppu.
Still 111,2 km to go, but Roman Kreuziger and Nicolas Roche did not worry about it and attacked. And they came away.
Fumiyuki (Admittedly, he is not a good climber) was not able to keep up with the other in the break. But he showed himself.
The Forca di Presto were pretty hard for the breakaway. Only 8 rider left in front, Kreuziger and Roche made up ground on them.
E1; +1'12" Bertogliati; +2'33" Ciolek; +2'43" Kreuziger, Roche; +4'16" Beppu; +7'51" Peloton.
Jure Kocjan (CarmioOro) 5
Nicki Sörensen (SaxoBank) 3
Francesco Reda (QuickStep) 1
INTERMEDIATE SPRINT (in Castelluccio):
Mauro Corti (Footon) 5
Artem Ovechkin (Katusha) 3
Francisco Reda (QuickStep) 2
Kreuziger and Roche now in the front group and work hard to hold them in front.
E1; +1'26" Ovechkin, Corti; +3'49" Bertogliati; +4'50" Ciolek; +5'25" Peloton.
Roman Kreuziger (Liquigas) 5
Nicolas Roche (AG2R) 3
Nicki Sörensen (SaxoBank) 1
Kreuziger and Roche kill everyone expect Sörensen with their hard work, but in the peloton, Astana, Lampre and Katusha work hard and came nearer.
E1; +46" Reda; +2'15" Ovechkin, Corti; +2'28" Peloton.
Roman Kreuziger (Liquigas) 5
Nicki Sörensen (SaxoBank) 3
Nicolas Roche (AG2R) 1
Löfkvist with the surprise attack, also Kirchen, Basso and Fuglsang attack, but they did not came away.
P; -1'17" Kocjan; -1'55" Wegelius, Madrazo; -2'31" Mourenhout; -3'35" Sörensen, Roche, Kreuziger.
Another attack. Top favourite Vinokourov and the mountain-jersey-winner 2007, Juan Mauricio Soler try to escape, but them with no chance, too.
P; -3'31" Sörensen, Kreuziger, Roche.
And Tony Martin try his luck. No success. The front group seems to get tired, they lost ground on the pack.
P; -2'07" E1.
Kreuziger, Roche and Sörensen get caught. And now the attacks: Soler, Hesjedal, Navarro, Basso. But nobody get away. Must be frustrating for them.
Crash! Ryder Hesjedal fall at the downhill. Klöden lost contact at the front group at the downhill, but worked hard and came back.
The second last hill before the finish, no attacker here. Klöden and Hesjedal worked together and came again in the front group.
The last chance to set an attack before the Slope at Colmunaro, and Soler accelerated! But no chance, the 13 rider which left in the front group did not let him go.
Klöden gets tired, but he could stay at the backwheel from Cunego who should be the best sprinter in the group. But Cunego disappointed at the sprint... Which rider had not lost to much power at the last hill to fight for the stage win?
Of course top favourite Alexandre Vinokourov. Just Soler and himself were streng enough to show a real sprint at the finish, and Vino beats the colombian climber. Klöden finished 12th, again no Top-10 for RadioShack, but Klöden could himself in the front group, also a success for us after a poor start in this race.
why do you always tease your riders by thirst? I don´t know, but although their status doesn´t blink neither red nor blue, it can affect their performance in the end of stage
maybe someone more experienced can confirm/refuse this theory?
Don`t think so. Blue means that you really have to get something and red that now the performance is inflicted.
At least this is my experience. I also do it similar than him and never had a problem at all. Never even after a long GT with every stage this way.
Of course on flat stages it doesn`t matter, but on mountain stages I go earlier, before the rider loses contact before bringing the bottles to the front.
Yes, I think so too. When it starts to blink red, your riders will drop in performance. I lost the Tour win with Contador by not giving him water in a mountain stage. He had no energy left with about 10km to go.
Oh, great efford by Sagan in Paris - Nice, just like in real life
By the way, great story so far. One of the best I have ever red

"When i get sad, i stop being sad, and be awesome instead... True story..."
@beagle/roturn/Pellizotti2
Well, when they have no drink, I try to get them a new water bottle. Maybe I wait a bit, but their status never get blue/red, so I did thought that were ok. I am not an expert in PCM. Is that now right or not?
@lobinho
Thank you I'm proud that you like this story.
Sagan was really good, after a great 3rd place in the prologue, he never lost time in the GC and ends even 4th in the mountain stage to Mende. A deserved 4th place at the end.

probably only developers of the game can say it properly...at any case I think it´s always better to keep riders fresh with enough of water all the time
@beagle
Yeah, maybe a developer or similar staff from Cyanide.
15. March
All 18 PT-Teams will take part in the Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco, 8 teams ask for a wildcard (Andalucia, Androni Giocattoli, Bouygues Télécom, CarmioOro, Cervélo, Cofidis, Saur-Sojasun, Xacobeo).
In an interview with "Cycling Bloc", Tom Boonen said that he do not give a hoot about de Ronde van Vlaanderen.
Tirreno - Adriatico Stage 6: Montecosaro - Macerata, 134,5 km
Maybe not such a hard stage like in the last two days, but we do not underestimate the hilly circuit in Macerata. It is our last chance to get Klöden better positioned in the overall.
Team goals:
- Stay in the front group, attack if he can (Klöden)
- Damage limitation (Zubeldia, Machado)
- Get in the breakaway
Favourites: Damiano Cunego, Alexandre Vinokourov, Ryder Hesjedal, Roman Kreuziger, Kim Kirchen My tip: Damiano Cunego is not such a strong climber as Vino, but he is better in hilly races like in this stage.

Yeah, it was interesting, a poor performance from RadioShack, but an exiting final:
Depart in Montecosaro.
And here the break of the day at the first intermediate sprint in Treia, including some good sprinter like Danilo Napolitano, Manuel Cardoso and nobody else than the best sprinter of the world, Marc Cavendish! From RadioShack, we send Tiago Machado in the break.
Tiago Machado (RadioShack) 5
Nikolas Maes (QuickStep) 3
Danilo Napolitano (Lampre) 2
The first of four crossings in the circuit in Macerata. The break with a lead of 5 minutes.
Danilo Napolitano (Lampre) 5
Nikolas Maes (QuickStep) 3
Juan José Oroz (Euskaltel) 1
The second crossing. The peloton start to work against the leading group, Astana and Lampre, the teams of the big favourites, does all to bring them back.
Nikolas Maes (QuickStep) 5
Pasquale Muto (Miche) 3
Danilo Napolitano (Lampre) 1
We are now in the interesting part of todays stage. It seems already now that Klöden will not able to attack today. Machado can not hold contact to the break, but the peloton will chase them down.
Nikolas Maes (QuickStep) 5
Pasquale Muto (Miche) 3
Juan José Oroz (Euskaltel) 1
10km to go. Nikolas Maes forced the speed and pass the other in the breakaway. Can he go for the stage win?
+28" E2; +1'00" P
And acceleration by one of the top favourites, the overall leader Vinokourov! He already have 20 seconds at the peloton, just Maes is ahead of him.
Kirchen tried to follow Vino, but he came not away. Klöden already suff, another bad day for us. Maes break in, he is in the peloton now.
Astana stopped to lead the peloton, but Lampre, QuickStep and Katusha work now to bring Vino back. And Cunego with a powerful attack! He know that he have to reach Vinokourov if he want the blue jersey again!
And he reach him. A one to one sprint will decide the whole stage race! The winner get a timebonus from -10 seconds, the second -6. So if Cunego wins here, he get the blue jersey back! Klöden can hold himself in the peloton.
Damiano Cunego still in the lead, can he win today?
Yes! Damiano saves his second stage win and the overall win! Bad luck for Vinokourov after the attack, it really looks that nobody can stop him.
Löfkvist and Tiralongo sprint away from the peloton and can even set a time gap. Good for Tiralongo, who is 3rd in the overall now. Klöden and Vaitkus (strong performance again) could hold contact with the peloton.
Well, it is not sure, maybe Vino makes it like Garzelli irl and gets the jersey with the inter mediate sprint
After the mountain stage, I thought that Vinokourov would win T-A, but it seems that Cunego is the better puncheur and showed that, he is the deserved winner.
Tirreno - Adriatico Stage 7: Civitanova Marche - San Benedetto, 157,7 km
The first really flat finish in T-A 2010, I do not think that the pack will really push at the hilly part of this race, so the sprinter survive there, and after the flat circuit in San Benedetto del Tronto, they'll fight for the last stage win.
Team goals:
- Top 5 (Steegmans)
- Lost no time (Klöden)
Favourites: Marc Cavendish, Óscar Freire, Alessandro Petacchi, Daniele Bennati, Gert Steegmans My tip: Óscar Freire win two stages because hills near the finish, but I'm sure that on a quite flat finish, nobody can beat Cavendish.
