Cyanide is deleting topics and forum members....

So, we got a slight issue. Who does Cyanide still listen to? I cant recall anyone in Benelux or Daily who got the ear of Cyanide.

I guess... french people? But with all due respect, the french communities are not exactly slaves to quality so they wont do anything...

We got a problem.

What about people Cyanide don't know about?

Cher Monsieur,
Messieurs, DamesThey're more than one, and there is also a couple of chicks, as far as I know.

Sounds very weird, really. This should make more sense, unless any one disagrees.

Sorry but that one is not French at all, though I get all the ideas in it.Bien entendu, vous pouvez être certains de notre application à vous faire autant de mauvaise publicité que possible, notamment quant à la mauvaise qualité de vos produits, votre arrogance, et votre comportement indigne de professionnels.I'm really not sure you should threaten them, that might as well ruin a good beginning of the petition.

Pas trop cordialement, Don't ever dare writing that in an official petition, letter, whatever. Ever.

If that's not obvious enough, red is what you should remove, green is what is properly written, blue are my comments.

I'm basically staying out of this until I have a proper overview (I only just came home from holiday), but I would like to point out one thing, based on this quote:

"The disrespect and ignoring of the english speaking community"

This site would probably not be as large as it is today, had it not been for Cyanide's help (interviews, possibility of previews, reviews, exclusive info, etc.)

I agree that pre this site, we didn't get much info from Cyanide on the English part of the official forum - and that is why this site was started to begin with.

However, since then, it's the French who have complained about lack of info. And I'd also say that we've had success in getting heard. The variants feature coming back is partly due to the English community and the fact that Cyanide listened to it.

I think you're right. I'm afraid that for some reason, people are illusioned about the treatment of the French community by Cyanide. Believe me, already back in 2007, it was close to non-existant. They get a slightly better treatment, as they're more easily read by Cyanide crew, but that's about it. And by slightly I mean, duh, slightly (at best).

The difference why they're more active at Cyanide is that, for most of them, they don't have external community websites and forums, whereas the English-speaking one has gone away, and created both generalist and national communities.

Well, I wanted to create PCM Britain, but I decided that would be too patriotic, so I changed its name. Wink

Seriously though, Cyanide's list of Community sites is this:

PCM Daily
CyM Spain
PCM Portugal
PCM Scandinavia
PCM Geeks
PCM Benelux
Radsport Manager
PCM Wereld
PCM Passion
RSM News
CyM Italy

Fair enough, but then you see who they're missing: (of the top of my head)

PPDB
PCM Norge
CyM Hungria
PCM Spain
PCM Spot
PCM Central

and Cyanide wonder why so many more people are angry with them, because they don't realise how many people there are. Wink

The website is Focus' job, not Cyanide's. You can be sure that Cyanide are aware of most of the communities - but of course, they don't have time to check and participate in every PCM community in the world.

Fair enough, but missing out PPDB in particular, is stupid.

CrueTrue
Why? No offence to PPDB (and I'm sure Plakker understands), but there's a pretty 'black' story behind PPDB and Cyanide. Plus, with its rather closed subscription options and as a side-effect relatively low activity (it's how they want it, so it's by no means meant as criticism), it'd be weird to link to PPDB.

Ok, I'll shut up now.

Thank you.

Now, back on topic.

Just to answer on the community sites thing. I've tried to get PCMNorge in on the community sites. Got a positive reply from Vince (?) from Focus where he said the he would look into it, but never heard from him again even though I tried to remind him a couple of times. Ironic that PCMScandinavia is there, although the site is closed down. Seems like Focus don't care so much unfortunelately. Easy to fix.

Let's hold back on the action after the 22nd where they said they were gonna release the stage pack.. Maybe they will inform us that they are working on a new patch to fix the AI? Not very likely, but let's see first.

Looks like Cyanide are working on fixing the AI problem. I know its already been posted in another topic but just in case I think we should post it here too.

Very Important message and Appeal to all of you guys (and girls?)

OK guys this is not a joke and I need your help.

I have had very positive contacts with Cyanide's upper management on the AI problems.
First of all they apologize for all the non responding to all the complaints and to the embarrassing deleting of members' accounts at the Cyanide Forum.
It is difficult to believe but the Cya management was unaware of what was happening, and that also has to do something with the holiday season in France.
I guess it were moderators acting in sheer panic.

Now this is very important:

Cyanide wants to do all it can to correct the AI issues and I have been giving them loads of input that was all new to them.
I thank Ruben for having helped me bigtime with this. I haven't palyes PCM2010 a lot so having first hand input from experienced players is a must.
But Cya has difficulties with reproducing some of the problems such as the yellow bar not running out / riders don't get dropped stuff in the mountains.
Their technical guy Samuel Manier is working his ass off to try and identify / reproduce the problems.
Anyone who can help please forward to me replays of stages that clearly demonstare the various problems and I will forward them to the guys at Cyanide.

But now what we also need to do is to try and calm down the entire community.
Freire will come up with statememnts on behalf of Cyanide probably coming Monday. The guy is in the middle of moving to a new house. They are also just human, you know.
But he promised me they are really going to do all they can to solve this and they do respect their customers bigtime. That is: you!

Please reproduce this message in all forums you are active in.
Cyanide dóes not despise its customers but somehow communication didn't work as it should have.
I think we should forgive them and now all work together in order to help them maker this game into the miracle it looked like at first sight.

I count on all you guys (and girls?).
We can have this great graphics together with a good AI if we can turn our disappointment into a positive attitude to help Cyanide now.
So let's help them in any way we can. They are ready for action as from coming Monday, after the holidays of some of them will be over!

Sincerely,
Talleyrand

SEND REPLAYS GUYS

I would like to but my problem is that my stages crash at the end of a stage when I try to activate replays.

roturn
Same problem here with the replays. Now we know why this function doesn`t work Wink
Just had this screen 3 days ago. I admit it`s not the hardest stage, but no attack last longer than a few seconds, 135 riders left to sprint and who wins? A.Schleck.
Funny thing: Ponzi is celebrating his 2nd, he was a single breakaway caught a few metrees to the line Grin

It's not a good example... but the main group was together until the last 3~4 kilometers. I push hard all the race with euskaltel euskadi to filter the group the most i could.

Look the difference between positions 70th.

Ok, I have an explanation from Eyolfur about why topics and posts have been deleted. Here it is:

Eventually something seems to move.

At least we don't need my poor secondary school french anymore, and that's good news Smile (thanks Aquarius for your help, btw).

Threads keep on getting deleted and cya-staff writes insane posts, but let's move on and produce some replays (hoping pcm won't crash).

First of all: Chapeau to Cyanide for their fast reaction to this situation. Maybe we should blame Focus more after all.

BUT, there is and have been an undiscussable misunderstanding between Cyanide and the english spoken part of their forum (at least) over the last years. Maybe it was a bit harsh to say, that it was a complete ignoring and disrespecting, sorry for that. But still, it's a bit true.

I think what we have now is a good situation, it needed such an event to start working on a better communication from BOTH sides.
I really hope it was a sign to Cyanide/Focus to start working more together. But also clear is: Nothings perfect at the moment, so we still have to keep a cool head. Remember, insulting or blaming the opposite side helps nothing to get it better!

And now produce as many replays as you can, to help Cyanide!

SEND REPLAYS GUYS

I would like to but my problem is that my stages crash at the end of a stage when I try to activate replays.

Just look at the sprints in our gameplay story. If we don't make sprint trains. Valverde. Contador and Armstrong are always in the top 10!!! Just take a look.
