Tour de France 2010 - Stage # 20
The Mont-Ventoux. 170 km
This is the last chance for A.Contador (AST) and A.Schleck (SAX) to catch the remaining time on D.Menchov (RAB) to win the Tour de France. What is the results.
Here's the resume of a race where all the leaders were watching each other and keep an eye on the Rabobank teamates.
The first one to attack was S.Sanchez (EUS) in the start of the Mont Ventoux but was not in a really good day.
Denis Menchov (RAB) is well guarded with 3 teamates (S.Clement, B.Mollema and R.Gesink) and with 18 km to go Menchov increase his speed to take little gap on the A.Contador group.
Now at 12km of the finish line, S.Clement (RAB) is giving up and the Rabobank trio is 1'20" in front of the Contador group.
B.Mollema (RAB) also giving up and now Menchov and Gesink are 50" front of A.Contador.
Still possible for D.Menchov. Our leader is 50" front of A.Contador who tries another attack with A.Schleck to try to catch the Rabobank duo is the final km.
But we resist and we take the first 2 place of the podium of this stage.
Stage Result
General Classification
Unbeleivable, Denis Menchov (RAB) has perform the double this year. Winning the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France.
Mountain classification Final

Due to low number of comments my career review will be done slower.
I've now complete the Classica San Sebastian (won by Robert Gesink)
Tour de Pologne is lead by Graeme Brown approx. 40 " (with 4 stage won in sprint) BUT the last stage is hilly. Hope Garate will win this one. |

may i ask you how do you manage to create the first gap at the beginning of the ascent while being protected and which set of orders do you use when you leave menchov following his helpers? |

I put Menchov on the top of the peloton with the effort button and put it at 99% to make a little gap. when I'm escape by a few seconds, I put menchov relay at 80% protected by Gesink, S.Clement front with infinite relay at 99 behind him B.Mollema infinite relay 80%. After that Mehcnov was 1 min in front of the peloton.
Just before Clement crash, I remove him in front and put Mollema at infinite relay 99%. After that Menchov was 1'30" in front.
Just before Mollema crash, I pull him down to 60% and increase Menchov relay to 90%. He was still protected by Gesink, that's why why red bar was off until the last 300 km of the race.
Depending on how many km remaining, you must stay in touch with the red bar of your protector (Gesink in my case) If he's going to crack BEFORE the last 3 km, you have to put down the leader on effort to put down his heart lower than 166 to prevent to lose the red bar. |

I forget to tell you that my teamates
Gesink
Mollema
Clement were all over +3 shaoe that day. This help so much. To be in the + shape, you have to manage the recuparation of your leader. Mehcnov does not have any acceleration, that's why I use effort and relay to come back most of the time on the attackers Schleck or Contador in the previous stages.
DO NOT COUNTER ALL ATTACKS, with good lieutnant, you should be able to get back or get closer to the attackers. |

I only change F_Hill to 78. and today I put it all down.
Mountain to 77
REC to 73
Same thing for Ricco.
About the new riders I trick the tables STA_NEWRIDER_AREA. to find more potential 8 riders.
If you want to do so, edit your save game with FULL editor. load STA_newrider_area table locate a new rider srea, (in my case neederland), you'll see in the column list, chance
Pot_0
Pot_1
to
Pot_7
The sum of that columns MUST give 100 %. If you want to find only potential 8 riders put all columns to 0 except the POT_7 column to 100.
and youre done. |

ye, i've already edited it in my new game with roubaix dalkia, but i just moved the columns one space (pot_0 -> pot 1) etc, i noticed the pot_0 (1) riders didn't have margin to improve. the pot 2 riders do have a bit margin, thanks for your info asmod |

you can change it whenever you want. but be sure to not be over 100% for a scouting area.
Hint, change only 1 zone and scout only in that zone. |
