Right call. But it is still heavily into the "throw him out" category.
According to feltet.dk he is thrown out. Can anyone confirm?

Danish TV2 certainly shouldn't be used as the final truth. Feltet.dk has really more credability. Where was the other quotes from, saying he was trohwn out? |

I like the ASO. I think it was a UCI decision, because they are the home of stupid decisions.

So apparently according to the UCI it's fine to hit a portuguese with a wheel but it's violent and malicious to ride across sprinting American. I found this offensive because it means Americans are more important than portuguese riders.

F*ck that, whoever makes these decisions needs to become a supreme court judge. He could get through 6 months of cases in 10 minutes because of his amazing ability to make such informed lawful decisions in such a short space of time.

The wheel would actually hurt less than crashing into the road at their speeds.

It just means that there is no real excitement if Cav wins all sprints. So now it`s a bit more equal between all sprinter...
Damn UCI or whoever was for it.

Hulk was suspended for beating the crap out of a steward.
Well, I don't believe that this is the correct decision but Renshaw deserved some sort of punishment. And so did Barredo and Rui Costa and they just got a small fine. The difference between those penaltys shouldn't be THAT big.

Two different crimes: Post-stage fight that both walked away from versus dangerous act during the stage that had effect on the result and could have resulted in a crash with serious injuries.

As i said to waghlon, and said in here earlier. A relegation and fine would have done.
But the UCI need to learn how to make fines hurt riders. A system where fines are given proportional to wages perhaps. (So a Contador fine would be higher than the same offence by Valls.)

Exactly. Police in a lot of countries do fine people like that. The higher wages are of a driver the higher tickets he gets. And it's working well. |

I think the penalty is just because look at what couldve happened. Many riders couldve went down and at those speeds that is a lot of road rash and broken bones. Its good to make an example of him so something like this doesnt happen again.
