If you test it, could you have a closer look on the 2 hill finishes?
Not just if the results are good (time_gap 3-7), but also how the whole peloton will sprint as the hill is too short for real attacks or splittings.
I made other versions with climbing the hill twice or 3 times so that the gaps are bigger.
That`s a point Smowz detected after testing stage 2.
Original Profile + PCM10 = Mass sprint on the whole climb with best puncheurs winning
I just tested it with an average field. Will test it later again with a weaker field like in real. |

Ok, will have a look at this.. I know this problem in PCM. I did have the same problem in a tour that I made recently (and uploaded a few minutes ago - Geelong).. those 1-2km climbs with a mass-sprint.. weird.

Update
Tour du Haut Var 2011 - Stage 1 in first post.
2nd stage will come soon.
- no slope over 10.9%
- Stage a bit shorter than in real as I started with the real start as the fictive start was a weird ride on the same road in both directions. |

Update
Tour du Haut Var 2011 finished and in first post.
The maximum slopes of >20% are caused by the two "Mur`s", which are 22% and 25% in real for a 200/300m.
All other slopes are maximum of 12% and mostly <10%. |

Tested Tour of Southland, with the focus on stage 2 and 7 (the short-climbs, uphill-finishes).. I only tested it in Single Race-mode with mixed teams, I had about 60 riders within the same time as the stage-winner in Stage 2 and about 40 riders within the same time in Stage 7 (had time-gaps on 7 in both).. in career-mode the groups should be a bit smaller, I guess.

Thanks for testing. Then I suppose to have timegaps of maximum 2-3
There must be small time gaps.
Why PCM10 can`t handle these kind of stages. |

Yes, that's bad. I didn't know that it's possible to set time-gaps lower than 7 I'll give it a try with a gap of 3, maybe, later that day or tomorrow. But, as always, good work with the stages! Looking forward to a nice fantasy tour in NZL

Thanks.
This project is frozen at the moment.
Made the Haut Var the last 2 days. Next project might be some 2011 races as it`S more important than a fantasy tour. So it can still last some weeks before a fantasy NZ tour, although it would be nice
Next race will probably be the new Murcia 2011 Tour when I find some route maps. It`s just 3 days long this time and after doing the Murcia in 2010 I also want to make the new course |

Has anyone found a route map or a gpx for the Murcia tour 2011, especially stage 1?
Jeust found a timetable and the profile. Quite sure that the route is correct I made, but there is one more hill than in the profile. But actually I don`t see any other route with the real hill and without the 2nd as there are hills in all possible directions Might be a inexact profile on their site as also some other information aren`t very exact. |

Just finished Murcia 2011 - stage 1.
Unfortuantely it takes a very long time to load for me. But as I have the same problem with several other stages like Mallorca stage 4 e.g., I hope it won`t be a problem for you.
Maybe someone, who plays this stage, could respond how long it took.
new link in post #157 and later on first page when all stages are finished.
It is build exactly after the timetable with road names etc. so the official profile must be a bit vague as the first two mountains are just marked as one wider one. But quite sure that this profile here is correct. There is no map yet.

Thanks again. Creating this stage was really annoying as I just finished it to realize that it is loading very long. Then opened in the stage editor again and again long loading time for this procedure. After a while I was able to change the size of the forests and fields but still loaded a lot for some reason.
Hope it`s just on my computer as some other stages. |

Just tested it... the load time got stuck on the end of "road geometries" for a while. Took between 3.5 and 4 minutes to load on my computer.
The stage itself looked good though some very nice topography - detail looked great seemed a bit jerky at the top of the last hill section - don't know whether that is where the road geometries are a problem.
Anyway - for me it is fine - nice work. Is the Vuelta a Murcia just three stages this year?

Thanks for testing.
Yes. Because of financial problems it wasn`t even sure if there is a race at all.
Now it`s the Spanish Criterium International
I will try to figure it out, why the loading time is strange. Never had this problem in all my other stages.

Worked a bit on the stage. The reason for the long loading times is the water. So I tried to make it less detailed and smaller but it`S still longer than usually but at least better than before. Strange that this didn`t happen before in other stages.
Also changed the landscape on the last mountain section a bit.

As I have some practical work from Monday on for 4 weeks I won`t make bigger races in the next time. I think I will start with some classics later when they are announced.
Liege Bastogne Liege and Paris Roubaix might be the most important as the changes are the biggest.

Nice to hear. But take care that there are just 3 stages instead of 5. So you have to delete the 2 race days. |

Just compared the official Vuelta a Murcia stage 1 map with my gpx and they are equal. So my version with 2 hills in the beginning is correct and the official profile is not very good as you just have one there.
