Hehe, i did fall 2 weeks ago its funny how cycling injuries look 100% the same.
Chin, shoulder, hands and knee.
I had to do a week with the knee thing but just because i have knee pain since 1 1/2 year and falling on it didnt help.

Astana has picked its team:
Alberto Contador, Alexandre Vinokourov, David de la Fuente, Andrey Grivko, Jesús Hernández, Maxim Iglinsky, Dani Navarro, BenjamÃn Noval and Paolo Tiralongo.

I am dissapointed that Pereiro was left out, but from a sporting standpoint i see that it's probably the best solution. |

It's a very strong team. Vino says he will work for Conta, and I think he will. All the others are really strong riders, and with this line-up I think Conta will get much better support than last year when half the team worked for Lance. |

Vino may work for Contador, but the fact is that he has a long history of lying to everyone's face and pretending it's nothing.
so we'll only really find out when the mountains come.

You are right, but if he lies this time, he will be cutting all his ties to Contador, and will struggle to get good riders to Astana for years to come. |

If I heard Vino was riding the Tour before the Giro, i would not be happy and fuming but now I have got a little bit more respect for Vino, after hating his guts since 2007 I now finally believe he is clean and never cheat again after watching him in the Giro, so now im happy he is riding the Tour , I hope Vino gets a top 10 in the Tour.

it'd be better if he doesn't get a top 10, that would mean that somebody else who probably deserves it more will be 11th, which is kinda crappy

did he get sick before or after he won the national championship?

Some random site says that they already know who Unzué's picked for the Tour and why.

Learn languages bitch!
Just kidding
LL Sánchez will lead and have to prove he can do well because, and I quote Unzué "We've been saying that for 3 years and then he rides like 3 week races scare him".
Plaza was an unmovable name on the list since January....who almost got moved because he sucked this season, most importantly at the Dauphiné. He'll still ride, though.
Rojas was a fixed name too, and will be the sprinter.
Gutiérrez and Kiriyenka will be Sanchéz's main helpers. Erviti as well.
Also, Costa due to his stellar recent performances.
Moreau because they need a french guy (Reading between the lines: the sponsor demands it)
They wanted Arroyo, but he wasn't in the pre-selection given to the UCI so they couldn't select him, so the last one would've been Coyot....but Cavendish made sure that couldn't happen so it'll be either Jeanesson or Perget
Sánchez
Plaza
Rojas
Gutiérrez
Kiriyenka
Erviti
Costa
Moreau
Jeanesson/Perget

Hushovd said to the media that his health was "bad" before the national race. But he also said that he needed the race to get in form.
But whats really "scary" is that Edvald got left behind by Hushovd in the hills(!).

Hagen was never good in the hills. I don't think it's really unusual.

I've seen Edvald play with all the other Norwegians in the hills. In the Norwegian National Championship in Bergen, Norway 2008. I was in the leading car in front of him. And he attackt and left everybody behind. But over the years he's becommed more and more of a classic/sprinter, but i still belive he should have left Hushovd behind, not the other way around. But thats just me.

He did do well in Pologne last year. Not that it means much, but I can't remember Hushovd getting better results in hilly races.
That being said, Hushovd always comes into form this time of year |
