Well done old man De Waele. Some great performances these past seasons, and this year he finally does it in a big classic

Il grande Philippe! In this rythm he will win all the ardenne classics. Can't wait for La Fleche!
PS: Cadel wasted his energy for jerk Kroon. He pays for his modesty ( a world champion working for a jerk like Kroon). Inadmissible!

Why is Kroon a jerk?
Anyway, of course Cadel wasted his energy working for someone. He's not a bloody hill rider. |

Why is Kroon a jerk?
Kroon is somewhat like a looser and it was clear for all (maybe not for BMC Team) that Cadel was in better form than Karsten.

That doesn't make him a jerk.
And to my other point? |

Deserved win by Gilbert, but great showing by places number 2, 3 and 4, whose names would take very long to copy and paste in here without breaking something.

A one off weird race like the worlds doesn't prove that he is a hill leader. Sure he is good on the hills, but you can't expect him to be leader when there are better hill riders on the team.
Anyway, well done Phillipe. |

Kroon is still 9th, Nobody knows if Evans would be better so it doesn`t make sense to discuss. It was Evans who offered to work for Kroon today not the team. Evans will get full support for Fleche and Liege and for Giro, Tour etc...
Probably Evans wishes to have well motivated helpers for the tour so he works for them in other races. Just because of being World Champion doesn`t mean to be captain in every race and no more working jobs for the season. |

Cadel would we way off top form this early, and im guessing Kroon has been training for this race so it makes sense for Cadel to be a team mate today. Plus he probably choose to ride for himself. |

3rd Overall, Tirreno-Adriatico
5th La Flèche Wallonne
7th Liège-Bastogne-Liège
2nd La Flèche Wallonne
So he cant be a helper and he isn't good enough to be the hill captain, then what should he do?

It was actually Cadel who asked Karsten some time(days, weeks?) before the race, if he could use another teammate. |

Cadel offered to work for Kroon in the AGR. So that doesn't make Kroon a jerk, lup_andrei. And why is Karsten a loser? I know he doesn't win much, but that makes 90% of all riders losers by that logic.
Edit: Congrats to Phil

I said he wasn't quite a hill leader, but he's good on the hills. He should obviously rider them, and he wanted to help Kroon anyway. |

Surely its quite simple?
Evans works for Kroon in Amstel Gold, a race which of the 3 Ardennes, is the most likely to suit Kroon over Evans - nevermind the fact that it is Kroon's home race, with him living very close to the Cauberg.
And in return, Kroon works for Evans in Fleche and LBL, where Evans is more likely to get a result
