And yet they nearly messed up once again and lost to Pervis

The Bauge vs Hoy sprints were the highlight of the day.
I'm _hugely_ disappointed with Mørkøv and Rasmussen. Complete waste of time.
At least I got to sit next to Bjarne Riis for a short while
i wouldn't be too disappointed, i dont think anyone was going to beat meyer and howard given the form that they're in |

well he is the lead-off man. but still...
and has anyone noticed that shuang guo (the chinese women's match sprinter) looks like one of those tom and jerry characters that got hit in the face by a frying pan.

And after a great points race, he is now leading with 1 event to go! And his team pursuit skills may mean a strong kilometre ride ..

Ed Clancy - World Omnium Champion.
We knew he'd do a good kilo, but not THAT good.
If you asked me on wednesday what I wouldn't expect, that would have been top of the list. wow.

Has anny one seen the comments by Brailsford, he sounds like a peice of work. Complaining that it's disrespectful to go from the gun, and essentially saying that Forstemann should have just let Hoy slip stream past him because Hoy is a "big champion"
Also when theUCI pointed out that Britain were cheating by using £100,000 bikes that are not commercially available he says:
"If the smaller nations want to start investing the same amount of money as the governments of Britain, Germany and Australia do then they're free to do so."

Ok, that is somehwat pathetic - you dont complain when somebody is showing Hoy so much respect that they think the only way to beat him is by going flat out from the start. It was just good German tactics, that just paid off

I didn't once hear Brailsford say that. Hoy was gracious in defeat though.
And on the UCI ruling, i believe thats a misquote, he wants the rules cleared up, as (like most UCI rules) they are slightly obscure.

so basically you've just discounted all the events you didn't medal in because they aren't in the olympics? whatever, i'm cool with that. two years is a long, long time. |

The olympics are sort of a big deal.
And 2 years is not a long time, but long enough to allow us to use our full strength squad in the worlds again, something we've not done since... 2008 in Manchester.

The British would have found it hard to medal in the events that aren't in the Olympics because they didn't enter anyone in them |
