Vila Nova de Milfontes - Odemira
I think it is first time at this season. When I start a tour as favorite. Castano wearing nr.1..and Pacheco should be one of the top sprinters.
And problems..strong 9 rider group escaped..and moving fast. Gap is almost 8min. Time to work. Reid Mumford, David O'Loughlin, Niki Østergaard
,Lluis Mas, Mikel Landa, Cesar Fonte, Tjarco Cuppens, Egoitz García,Tom Soladay
..several guys to the front. Someone please help me out..there. Does not looking ood..3.30 and 20km. to go.
..They got it..no chanche that peloton will make it.
David O'Loughlin..is stage winner and tour leader..
Peloton comes 1'10 later..not a dream start for tour. Still 3 stages to go..one of them is TT and one uphill sprint..all is still ahead.

This is important day..Veloso plan is to loose time as less as possible. Mosquera will be our main name.
36km. to go..Gomes Marchante is first who atacked..KOM jersey leader Stangelj trying to follow..he want to protect he's KOM lead.
Liitle panic..counter wave. Kirchen, Valjavec, Mosquera..they slow down after hill top.
24. to go..Group back together..before climb..tempo is real fast..
in descent..Popo atacked..
Counter ..van den Broeck, Mosquera, Kirchen...
..and here we go. Final climb as started...van den Broeck does not wait..he is going alone.
..and favorites coming..Barredo, Valverde, Cunego..here we go.
5km to go..Cunego as cought van den Broeck..and he dont want to wait.
Valverde is chasing..good to see Mosquera in the same group. season best climb for him so far..
and Cunego keep on going..
Valverde atacking... Mosquera moved to the front..and keep on pulling fast as possible.
Cunego takes a stage win..he is new tour leader. Valverde is only challeger. Mosquera arrives 37 sec. later..and was 7th. nice..

Fast sprinter stage..after yesterday peloton calculation disaster...
Pacheco fiding himself at the front of the group..a lot earlyer when he wanted to be there. What to do..he need to keep to go after long sprint.
When he looking over a shoulder ..only Klaas Lodewyck can some how follow...
Power show..stage win. At least something..next big stage will be TT

Realy interesting profile for a day..it will be fun to follow sprinters who can survive these hills..
Kirchen ..135km to go and Kirchen atacking..this is way to early. he probably lost to much time yesterday and is now after KOM points.
..again we should talk about breakaway today. Two riders are separated from early breakaway group..Kushcicnsky and Roche. Peloton does not seems to be intrested to catch them.
7km to go..on descent..Roche trying to escape...
These two riders Markel Irizar and José Luis Roldán was riding behind after lead duo..and they both managed to crash. This is to enough for main group to "eat them".
Roche is stronger then Kuscinsky ..he can celebrate early..
Peloton comes over 4 min later..this is good to see Rodrigo García fighting at the top places..

This is a stage what I have been waiting for..TT stage. Time to start a close down opening stage escape group 1 min lead.
Bochman ..gives us first serious time..at the end of the day..9th. +29 sec.

First Galicia rider to follow De Segovia...12. +33 sec. great ride..
another Designa Kokken rider..C. Jorgensen 5th. +12sec.
Pacheco..great..great day for him..4th. +11 sec.

Castano is fastest man today..stage win.
O'Ĺaughtin coming..good ride. He is 10th today..29 sec. down..he can keep a leader jersey. But hav lost half on he's lead..uphill sprint stage will decide.

Stage before final TT..all eyes are looking forward to see another Valverde -Cunego battle. They are clearly best 2 riders in the group..and both in great shape before Aredennes classics
69km to go..first atack wave..Basso, Nocentini and Westra. Group E2
Man who is leading a stage with solo ride is Martin
41km. to go...Van den Broecka atacking away from main group and causes panic counter wave...
33,7 km to go..lead 4. Lövkvist, Nocentini, Martin and Basso
20km to go..riders are passed another hill top. Popo atack..Mosquera follows, Valjavec, Kirchen...
Cunego comes at behind ..with amazing speed. he is trying to escape from Valverde..Mosquera dont want to miss that..he follows. Barredo is there, Gerdemann..
Barredo wants to decide a stage winner before the sprint..he go's with max speed. Mosquera feeling realy great today..but seems that Gerdemann in trouble already..
..and Barredo opens the sprint after strong effort..Mosquera can follow that..he is waiting..
..and here he go's ...Barredo and Cunego looks surprised..
..and here we are. Mosquera taking season first stage win..and ProTour stage it is.. Xacobeo has won two stages in the row today,
He is GC 5th now..tomorrow is final TT day. It is 25km long..but real hilly and technical route should help Mosquera a little.

 Tomorrow is last chanche for us to hunt a podium or tour win. yesterday TT was great..but we are half way there. Today is the day..tomorrow final stage is flat. No big action there.
92km. to go..a lot of pressure on every climb. I am ready to sacrifice all squad ..to drop O'Laughlin for good. Garcia doing lot of work at the front..all this Sean Kelly green mass is around theyr leader OĹaughlin..
80km to go..success O'Laughlin is droped..tempo has been on the limit all the way. But race is not over..climbing part is over. In descent group comes all back together..final hills will be my last chanche..
O'Laughlin likes to show some fighting spirit..Castano is forced to follow Kelly team leader atack..
Castano managed do drop O'Laughlin..to early? Two sharp hills still to take..
Last hill top..peloton is back together..This is not looking good..
...but De Ketele and Cabreira launched another atack. Castano butting all out to follow that atack..he has worked to hard today already..
Stage win to Cabreira. Castano is not interested..only time matters..
Totaly empty O'Laughlin crosses a line with main group..now results.
Good moment..we are in the game. castano leading a tour..De Ketele is second (he is just 2sec. down)..O'Laughlin third..+9sec.

we start with Radioschack strong TT power..Paulinho starting very well..fading a little in the end 49. (+1'29 )

Tuft..51. (+1'31)..seems like pure TT skills is not enough today. We need a top shape hilly rider, great descender who can also TT
