Tour of Qatar
Stage 4 : Doha Old Souq - Madinat Al Shamal
The 4th stage is of course another flat one. That means we will see another mass sprint where Eisel wants to get the leader´s jersey
There was another big breakaway in this stage and they were really dangerous for the pack in the end.Carlström was the strongest there and he could get a little gap to the others until the last 9 kilometres but then the pack came really fast and he had no chance to survive at the front
So our team was prepared for the mass sprint and again Bak took the slipstream of the Sky-train
But with only 2,5 kilometres to go Bak lost the backwheel of Sutton and so Eisel had to react really fast
He made his move prompt and this was the best decision because after a few metres he could follow Van Hummel
It´s the last corner and Sutton is in front of Sabatini who was wearing the leader´s jersey so if he would get another time bonification it´ll be hard for Eisel to win this tour
It´s so bad for us!!Sabatini even wins this stage in front of Sutton!!Is this the decision for the overall??
At least Eisel could get the third place in another close sprint finish but this time he´s the winner!Still bad stage for us because Eisel lost 6 seconds today

Tour of Qatar
Stage 5 : Camel Race Track - Qatar Foundation
After a bad result yesterday Eisel really wants to win this stage. But Sabatini,Sutton and Co seems to be in an amazing shape so far,so it´s gonna be another great sprint finish today
Once more a big group could leave the pack in the beginning but they were brought back to the peloton 20 kilometres before the sprint final
The pack was really focused today to keep the speed high
Eisel is already in a great position but Van Hummel takes his backwheel
Eisel has just waited for the Sky train so he could take Sutton´s backwheel once more
The sprint begins and Vigano is leading out his team-mate Sutton
Sutton is in front now and Eisel is fighting against Van Hummel
Van Hummel passed Eisel and he´s attacking Sutton now.Well it´s not the stage win for Eisel that´s for sure!!
Van Hummel even takes the stage win in front of Sutton and Eisel. At least Eisel gets 4 seconds back

Tour of Qatar
Last Stage : Sealine Beach Resort - Doha Corniche
It´s the last stage of this year´s Tour of Qatar and Eisel has to win it if he wants to get the leader´s jersey. But it was a big risk to wait until the stage end and so our team had a plan......
And here we are in the breakaway today with Tejay Van Garderen. We sent him in the leading group today because we knew exactly that the pack will not let him go.So he attacked again and again until the first sprint of today´s stage came...but the pack didn´t let him go he was brought back
And so the next moves were made and this time Eisel went after them with only 8 km before the first sprint competition
And here they are:Eisel and Dries Devenyns from Quick Step who is not a really good sprinter
Up to here our plan works absolutely fantastic!!!Eisel could get the 3 sprint points for the sprint competition but most important he got 3 bonus seconds for the overall!!And so he´s only 1 second behind Sabatini now. That means a third place in the mass sprint would be the tour victory!
Of course the breakaway was caught and so the sprint trains were already formed and Eisel is alone today but he could take Sutton´s backwheel for the last time in this tour
Our team did a great job today
The sprint begins and Eisel makes a fast move
Eisel is in front of Van Hummel and Leezer
Van Hummel makes his move and he seems really strong
Van Hummel takes the stage win
But not only Van Hummel is celebrating,Eisel takes the second place and another 6 seconds!!This means he is the winner of the Tour of Qatar;he also won the points jersey

With Roulston and Goss you have a nice lead-out for Caveman, let's see how Martin is doing! |
