Youre lucky you simmed the TTT in Qatar (Boo @ that btw), since I doubt the gaps would have been so big if raced properly, putting Bonnet at less of a disadvantage.

Nice win with Sutton nonetheless though.

yeah but if I had played the TTT we would have lost like 2 minutes and with riders like Wiggins, Hagen and Cummings in the team that wouldn't have been too good either

Boasson Hagen won yesterday but he can he do it again? It will also depend if Flecha and Vigano will be able to put him in an another great position for the sprint
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0001-24.png

As we were heading to the expected mass sprint, Flecha was leading our train to the front of the pack. This time nobody managed to get in our splistream, which means that Hagen's mission could be even easier than in the second stage
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0003-25.png

When the sprint started Flecha already made a gap between the Sky train and the other riders, our main chasers being Soler as the sprints are far away behind
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0004-17.png

In the last kilometer, when Hagen made the final move to take the lead from Vigano, he and the Italian had an amazing over the pack, which could mean that this stage could turn into a second double this season for Sky
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0005-12.png

The first one to realize the great performance our train put in today was Flecha, who immediately threw his hands up in sign of victory
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0009-6.png

Second stage win in a row for Hagen, but more important than that is that he was followed on the podium by Vigano and Flecha! An amazing performance for Sky, which could be put on the weak opponents, but it's still an amazing result

great stage win, and lovely lead out by flecha and vigano
Manager of Pro-Continental Tour team Repsol-Cativen

alexkr00
The first one of the hilly stages will be raced today, but it's a long way between the top of the last climb and the finish which means that we should see any significant gaps
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0001-25.png

An important name was today in the breakaway, Victor Hugo Pena, but it was Marcos Garcia who became the King of the Mountains in Vuelta a Andalucia
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0003-26.png

On the last climb of the day there were made a lot of attacks, some of them being quite important names in this race. But it only Valverde and Lovkvist were strong enough to get away
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0011-7.png

They both joined the breakaway group on the downhill but only to be all caught at the 10 kilometer banner. Not really a good move by Valverde and Lovkvist to try the decisive attack with 30 kilometers left from the stage
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0012-6.png

A new bunch of attacks started, with Duran making the first move. Riders like Hagen, Trofimov, Gerdemann, Vogondy or Mosquera followed him but once again only a few of them were able to leave the pack behind
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0014-7.png

And the strongest one of them was Boassong Hagen who entered the last kilometers of the stage in a solo lead. After winning to mass sprints he has a nice chance to take a third stage win, this time after an attack
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0017-2.png

He was followed by a chasing group, with Gerdemann, Vogondy and Rodrigues. They were somewhere at 30 seconds behind the Sky rider, while the pack was only 10 seconds behind them
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0019-2.png

Boasson Hagen takes his third stage win in a row, great race for him so far. This time he managed to get a gap though which means that he is also the new leader of the race, with an advantage of 16 seconds over the previous leader, Linus Gerdemann, who finished second today

Hagen had so far an impressive race winning 3 out of 4 stages, but today's terrain seems to favor more Valverde, who didn't put in a great effort so far except for the opening TT and the attack front yesterday's stage
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0001-26.png

Plaza had a really bad stage yesterday when he lost more than 4 minutes to Boasson Hagen. Still today he looked better and took part in the day's main breakaway. He was clearly the strongest climber in the leading group he left all the other escapes a few minutes behind him on the final climb of the day
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0003-27.png

Behind him Duran and Lovkvist made the first moves in the pack from the favorites but that just awake Valverde who had no problems following them
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0004-18.png

Valverde did not only follow them, he was the strongest from the favorites and he passed the summit in the second position, behind his team - mate, Plaza. Still he is 1 minute and a half behind the Spanish Champion which will be pretty hard to gain on the downhill
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0007-13.png

One minute behind Valverde, Lovkvist was leading the chasing group. Moreau, Gerdemann and Hagen were the other important names in that group
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0008-9.png

Lovkvist took a lot of risks on the downhill, but it was impossible to catch Valverde as the Spanish is a better on the downhills than Thomas, plus nobody in the chasing group really helped him
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0011-8.png

Plaza lost some time to Valverde in the last kilometers of the stage, but with the advantage that he had at the top of the climb it was still enough to maintain in front and take the stage win
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0015-4.png

Valverde crossed the finish line 11 seconds behind his team - mate bringing Caisse d'Epargne an 1-2. He needs to win 22 seconds over Hagen and it looks like he has done that
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0018-5.png

Gerdemann lead the chasing group, almost 1 minute behind Valverde, where a resigned Hagen finished took only the 9th place. Still this was a great race for him with 3 stage wins, winner of the points and young classification plus a second place overall

well done to stay second with boasson-hagen, nice stage wins
Manager of Pro-Continental Tour team Repsol-Cativen

After some nice results in Spain and Qatar we are moving to Belgium for 2 northen classics. The first one of them is Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Gilbert seems to be the main favorite, but except for him there are no other strong opponents for Flecha and Edvald Boasson Hagen, some of the other important names in this race being Steegmans, Freire, Ivanov, Breschel, Eisel, Bennati, Ista, Goss, Ista or Leukemans
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0001-27.png

There were some important names in the day's breakaway such as Joaquim Rodriguez, Mouncutie or Gustav Larsson but neither of them were riders made for this type of races so the breakaway didn't last for too long
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0002-2.png

With 70 kilometers before the finish, with the escapes almost caught Boassong Hagen made an attack to lead the way for Flecha
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0003-28.png

Even though he was wearing the number 13, Hagen managed to win in only 20 kilometers almost 5 minutes over the other favorites, while the breakaway was history already
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0004-19.png

Behind him Ista and Gilbert were the main chasers, while Flecha, Eisel and some Radio Shack riders were also present in the small group that was left from the pack
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0008-10.png

With Hagen having a nice lead everything seemed too look very good for Sky, but with just 30 kilometers left Flecha crashed while trying to counter some attacks from Ista, Gilbert and Steegmans
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0009-7.png

The crash cost Flecha more than minutes. But after he got back on his bike he caught and left behind all the riders that have passed him while he was down, one of them being Gert Steegmans, who was in the same group with Flecha, when the Spaniard crashed
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0010-5.png

Meanwhile in front Boasson Hagen barely lost 2 minutes from his advantage but what was left from that seemed more than enough to secure the win for him
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0013-6.png

On the last cobbled section of the day the main chaser of Hagen was Gilbert, but the Omega Pharma rider had more than 2 minutes to gain back in 5 kilometers, which was basically impossible without Hagen having a serious technical problem or a crash from the Norwegian
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0019-3.png

Ista lost the contact to Gilbert and lost almost 1 minute in only a few kilometers. While passing the last cobblestones of the day he was also caught by Flecha, even though 25 kilometers before that the Sky rider was more than 2 minutes behind him
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0023-3.png

Boasson Hagen didn't have any kind of problems in the last kilometers and he takes an amazing win after riding alone the whole 70 kilometers of the race!
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0027-1.png

Gilbert was the main favorite at the start of the race, but he finished only second, almost 2 minutes and a half behind the winner, Edvald Boasson Hagen
i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz110/sky_story/PCM0030-1.png

Flecha beat easily Ista in the sprint for the third place. And with 2 riders on the podim this is a great start for Team Sky in the northen classics this season
