Valverde not been banned so this means he is a contender for the TDF crown this season.
how is that a good thing? he's about as guilty as you can get, his whole defence is based around never having a dog called piti.
oh, and even if the uci doesnt make his ban worldwide, he won't be a tour contender.
you are an idiot.
First of all that's a bit harsh 2nd of all maybe he likes Valverde and was one of his favourite riders. 3rd of all he is a tour contendor if he races in the tour because he is a world class climber and he proved it by winning the vuelta.
i dont think that thats harsh at all in fact i imagine that if pitis ban is not put worldwide italy will still somehow prevent him from racing in italy and the tour will accidentally have to take a diversion into italy via some mountains therefore preventing valverde from starting not to mention of course that valverde also always chokes like a parrot on speed when it comes to the tour he cant and will never manage to succeed there it just isnt even close to the vuelta in terms of competition and presitge not that the race is harder so to speak just that the contenders that turn up actually turn up to win rather than at the vuelta where half the field are just there to gain experience for later years in other grand tours it doesnt matter if valverde is my dads favourite rider everyone can see the complete and utter joke its making out of the sport of cycling its a complete and utter farce
Almost like the reply I just wrote without any clear punctuation or breaks. Enjoy reading that like I enjoy reading your posts.
You're not entitled to call someone "an idiot", because one likes Valverde. There are plenty of circumstantial evidence against Armstrong, Schleck, Contador, etc., yet we don't call people idiots for liking them.
So, please, keep the tone.
On topic, I'm still confident that Valverde will be banned world-wide sooner or later.

Indeed. Especially since the CAS said the presence of Valverde's blood alone is proof of doping, regardless of whether or not he actually re-injected any.
In a later development, Valverde wants his DNA retested to prove his innocence....but he'll only do it if it's done in spain. You can see where this is going.
EDIT: Also, Basso's explanation for sucking at time trials since his return: "I haven't stretched enough. I'm not flexible enough to be in my previous aerodynamic position"
Right Ivan. We're just big enough idiots to believe it's not about doping. Now explain the loss of 40 watts on the climbs....

"I love him, I think he's great. He's transformed the sport in so many ways. Every person in cycling has benefitted from Lance Armstrong, perhaps not financially but in some sense" - Bradley Wiggins on Lance Armstrong
Well, Basso did 'almost' admit a couple of days ago in an interview with Cycle Sport:
"I want to win a Grand Tour again and prove that I can do it in a honest way. (...) It'd be nice to sit here again in a year and tell about how I won the Giro clean"
... so you didn't win the Giro clean the 1st time? How shocking...

Nobody said that he is an idiot because he is fan of Valverde, but he is if he is saying that it is good to have proven dopers on in races.

Well, my hopes are growing after the results of the court, and seeing how desperate is Piti to demand a retest of the DNA.
I have a doubt though. If he's finally awarded with a world-wide ban, when would that ban begin? Because if the ban begins the day he was banned in Italy, maybe he just gets one year of payed holidays in Bora Bora.
The ban will begin from the day he stops racing. So if he'd stopped back in July to defend himself, and then he was found guilty this coming July, he'd only have a year to do, but as he's still racing, he'll be out for the count...
I also have to wonder just how much of his Vuelta winnings are being spent on all his lawyers... it makes me giggle.
EDIT:
In a completely unrelated note, the Tour Down Under is on Betfair! Woop! Betting resumes business!

Some nice pictures of the leaders jerseys this Giro.
Note that they changed the jersey for the points classification into red. Other jerseys are pretty much the same.

Where did i mention the words its good for cycling, wait I never, I'm pleased that the rider who I look up to and support 110% and one of the reasons I got into cycling isn't so far getting banned. I will stand by him until he is banned, then I will probaly wont support him he is is guilty.
