1. Stybar again dominated the sprint!! Juuuhuuu!
2. Nys
3. Vantornout
4. Albert
5. Mourey
Third in a row for Styby...
Albert seemed weaker than ever this season... |

Albert just destroyed his own body by riding so agressively in the previous races. And Nys looks like he can't reach his top form, otherwise he would have had enough power to avoid a (bunch) sprint. |

I agree Albert wasn't as good today and last weekend as before that, but this isn't a course for him anyway. This would be much more for Nys, with him being superior in the technical aspect (just look at him jumping of his bike backwards, with both feet coming out of the click pedals at the same time), if not for Stybar having great form atm, and being the only one able to ride up that steep sand hill.
And he's of course the fastest in a sprint, and in these warm conditions, on a course where there could never be any mud, a sprint is always going to be most likely.
Nevertheless, it still was a very good race again by Stybar.
And Aernouts, of course attacking again when noone else does. Twice. Gotta love that guys way of racing. |

Albert seemed quite dissapointed after the race: https://www.sporza...e_verslag#
I'm glad Wellens did well in his first race of the season, I hope he can confirm tomorrow. |

Whats wrong with Thijs Al btw?
I know he suffered an injury before the start of the season which ruined his preparation for the season, but he seemed to be doing better in recent weeks.
But today he was only 22th |

I hope this is the final breakthrough for Walsleben as an elite rider, especially after his bad start of the season due to his injury. |

He's definatly got the potential to ride for podium places some day. Mind you, that he is still only 21 years young. |

Am I right that he is already an elite rider due to a twist in the rules? (something about turning 23 at the end of the 2010 season, which has already started in cyclocross) |

Id have thought Walsleben has gone Pro because theres nothing left in U23 races for him after he dominated last year

Exactly. I believe he turns 23 around december 2010, which means he's still (or at least, I'm sure he was at the start of this cyclo cross season) 21 at this moment.
But since he turns 23 in this 'UCI' season, he can't ride any U23 races anymore.
UCI all the way. Almost like Cyalogic.
edit; I checked it. 19th of november it is. So he's 22 now for just under two weeks.

Maarten Wynants won the cyclocross in Mol. It was a benefit organized by Wilfried Peeters en Tom Boonen. It was only for riders who normally ride on the road. Some strong international riders were there, like Ballan and Pozzato.
1. Maarten Wynants (QST)
2. Jelle Vanendert (SIL)
3. Dries Devenyns (QST)
4. Pieter Vanspeybrouck (TSV)
Ballan and Pozzato were both one lap behind. |

Obviously Belgians have a sort of advantage over guys like Ballan and Pipo
I knew this was happening, but didn't know when... was it on tv? (because if so, too bad I missed it )
If you've got any videos of it, I'd like to see it |
