EPIC - Season 2 Part 1
Luis Leon Sanchez
Cervero 2nd, great result for Androni!
Algarve, no comments considering there hasn't been a report for a while and I have no idea where my riders are finishing.

Some people take this to seriously Wink

Because maybe it's slightly serious? Sure we're here for fun but there has to be some level of seriousness among everybody involved. You can't just go about saying nobody cares. If you don't care, then maybe you shouldn't be volunteering to report or even, if I'm going to be really harsh, playing the game.

Stage 10

Mostly flat, but still much more climbing than the last couple of days.
The best thing to say about the stage is that it leads to the very last podium of the race.
I assume you know the sprint favouites by now…

Some well-known names in todays break: Friedemann, yesterdays winner Nys, Jones, Ershov, Morris and Hatanaka.

100 km and 3'44
90 km and 2'54
80 km and 2'48
70 km and 3'53
60 km and 3'17
50 km and 2'59
40 km and 2'20
30 km and 1'38
20 km and 1'06

This is starting to look an awful lot like yesterday, only with a slightly larger gap…

15 km and 52 seconds
10 km and 44 seconds

Nys charges into the final 5 with Friedemann in his wheel

The Belgian is looking really strong again today!

Some really good-looking trains from AG2R, Bardiani and Orica heading into the final 3 km. Surely someone will be able to close the gap?
NetApp applying a clever tactic of placing Arndt on the AG2R train and Jarc on the Orica train.
Guido is on the back of the Bardiani train.

800 m to go and it's over for Nys.
All the big sprinter names goes out into the wind at the same time with 600 m to go

Guido takes the final stage!

Glad this is over. Every single stage a hot pile mess of disappointment. Failing so hard. But frankly, I didn't even expect anything else haha

Nice reports and great pace Atlantius!

Another break for Tomohori, and holding on for 31st deserves a consolation banana as I don't think I've ever posted one for him, despite being arguably my most successful rider, even though Carlos' podium was cool.

Yeah, agreed. Some even take it seriously enough to create a second account, pretending to be from places like Grimsby and stuff like that...

Wait what? I thought old Dave was genuine...
Understand the double account reference though...

EDIT: Looking back, he is a very shady character though, turning up just in the nick of time as Astana need a manager, claiming to have followed it. No offence intended if he is genuine Embarassed

Really please with how Langkawi went and thank you Atlantius for a nice regular steady pace over the course of it.

Obviously we could have done a bit better with Alarcon but it was always a longshot to beat Orica's beefy EPIC guy, so 3rd will do especially when we have Verdugo in 5th and a good team GC effort all round.

Again two guys in the top 10 to end the race.
Overall it has been a very successful one with 3 stage wins, points jersey and a 4th place in the GC. Grin

Paris - Nice | Stage 4

i.imgur.com/kx5QmI4.jpg

Todays stage is the first attempt from the GC favorites to show their worth and even though today may seem a straightforward stage, you can expect the narrow roads to make some of the favorites victims to the final climb.

Favorites aren't hard to come up with and several riders are getting ready for the Ardennes here, which will be one of the big highlights of this season and this race can give them some confidence.

The Stage

i.imgur.com/rMVii7y.jpg

Todays break is well represented by G.Izagirre (EUS), P.Fedrigo (FDJ), S.Geschke (TFR) and M.Cort (GRS)

i.imgur.com/fgl8K9O.jpg

126 km is left and Team Sky already have all of their team in front trying to chase down the breakaway, which is 4'38 ahead of the pack. There is still some KoM sprints for the breakaway to compete about.

i.imgur.com/pdAUf05.jpg

S.Geschke (TFR) takes the first 4 points of the KoM competition in todays stage. Fedrigo and Cort takes 2 and 1 point on Cote de la Coyette with 2'36 to the pack.

i.imgur.com/ESUGJMQ.jpg

M.Cort (GRS) wants to be a part of the competition for the KoM and takes 4 points on Col du Champ Join. Fedrigo and Geschke takes 2 and 1 point. G.Izagirre (EUS) is dropped and gets back in the pack.

i.imgur.com/pFffsX8.jpg

S.Geschke (TFR) secures the KoM with another 4 points here on Col de la Crie. 33 km left and 2'10 down to the pack for now, but after this descend they will begin on the feared climb called Cote du Mont Brouilly.

i.imgur.com/fIsU4xg.jpg

The break is finally catched. Now awaits action on Cote du Mont Brouilly!

i.imgur.com/vukGqgB.jpg

F. Pelizotti (COF), D.Nerz (TNE), D.Martin (GRS) and R.Urán (SKY) attacks on Cote du Mont Brouilly with 1 km to the top.

i.imgur.com/Tv0rm6P.jpg

Rigoberto Urán (SKY) takes the KoM sprint, the attackers are only followed by P.Gilbert (BMC) and S.Chavanel (EUC). Reports says that Kwiatkowski and Bakelants from Quickstep are trapped in the middle of the pack, where they just miss the cut of being a part of the top peleton group.

Status is as follows
i.imgur.com/yCPwI4q.jpg

i.imgur.com/olKBKuG.jpg

Uran and Martin are soon to be joined by Pellizotti, Gilbert and Chavanel as they venture into the last 4 km!

i.imgur.com/uLVHzvv.jpg

Meanwhile D.Nerz is picked up by the chasing peleton, which still has all the top sprinters with them, but it will be victory for one of the attackers.

i.imgur.com/fox2ChT.jpg

Martin starts the sprint with a burst of pace, the others seems not to be able to follow him!

i.imgur.com/m9G4JX0.jpg

Daniel Martin wins the 4th stage of Paris - Nice, but won't get the Yellow jersey from Cavendish today though. Chavanel takes the 2nd place and Uran secures the last podium spot.

i.imgur.com/dAJfcdh.jpg

The last riders are 1 ½ minute behind the main pack, where Alexander Kristoff tries to lose as little time as possible. Several riders are involved, but I can only say that you can look for the losers yourselves
