Kristoff! Banana

Since Kristoff took the desired win, I'm hoping to see Löwenherz get the Go-signal for some furious breakaway attempts, Mister Vodkakov. Wink

He was a great help by achieving the team goal, but now as this is done he gets a free role to try his luck in a break and put some pressure on the team of the GC leader. Smile

Great job by Moreno to keep up with Group 2, a little bit more is still expected though. Smile
Kristoff again with a podium, a shame he finished behind Ciolek.

I have given up on Basso... guess we'll have to focus on Viviani in the Giro, because this is not working. Rolling Eyes

Oooooh
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

"_" doesn't work either for attachements?

Two great stages there, thanks guys. Birt at NetApp with some fantastic riding throughout the day, clearly shows that he has the guts & spirit to ride for NetApp. Also excellent to see Walker again trying his luck. There's hardly any luck for NetApp in mass sprints against such competition. Frown

Löwenherz pure quality. Either he works tirelessly throughout the day or attacks. I'm hoping for some action once Kristoff gets presumably dropped after the TT. Cool

Nice attack by Brammeier, though I think we could just get some points by actually sprinting with our sprinters... Rolling Eyes

Absolutely delighted with his performance so far but Tejay has let me down a bit. Maybe they'll swap for California and Jordan will work for Tejay.

Dermot in the break, Birtles top 20 in a bunch sprint. This day is going far too well for me. This can only mean something bad lurks around the corner...

Well, Giro is about to start, Evans is there. I guess you can put two and two together yourself Wink

Luis Leon Sanchez
Pellizotti with a decent stage in Romandie. Really hoping he can take top 10 in Giro.
A nice strong ride from Birt but must say I am surprised he was in the break of the day. Still 6th in U25, 1st equal in KOM and 15th on the stage is not too bad.

Stage 4: Feuchtwangen 26 KM

Stage Favourites:
*****Wiggins
****Kim
***Westra

Here it is, the definitive stage of this Bayern Rundfahrt. Few of the quality TT men have lost more than '44 so the stage winner is likely to win the GC. Plenty to play for.

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/1_zps036a578d.jpg

Marouane Shaqif on course.

Having lost plenty of time Shaqif was one of the earliest off the start ramp. Being a quality man against the clock he was expected to put in a good time. He did not disappoint.

The Moroccan sets a time of 36'10. That is 1'21 faster than fellow early starters Ivan Velaso and Zak Dempster. A strong time but there is plenty of racing still to go. 95% of riders are still to come off the start ramp!

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/2_zpsf2e5cd59.jpg

Maarten Neyens (66th) prepares to set off.

From now on everyone who starts is only '44 off the yellow jersey. The time of Shaqif still leads. But there is a sense the time will soon be beaten as riders are coming closer and closer. At this stage Di Silvestro is the closest challenger being '12 down @ 36'22.

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/3_zpsc81a3224.jpg

Wiggins flying around the course.

Bradley Wiggins lives up to his billing as stage favourite. He goes fastest at this first split time check with a time of 13'16 that is '16 faster than Hintermuller, '21 faster than Schwabe and '19 faster than Shaqif.

The Brit keeps up his tempo. Wiggins finishes at 35'19 almost 1'00 faster than the long standing time of Shaqif. Is that game over?

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/4_zpse9b2a010.jpg

Hintermuller on course.

Like his team, Hintermuller, has shown well all race. He would ride a solid time 36'12 which would be good enough for a top 10 on the stage.

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/5_zps544a305d.jpg

Barta, the Czech champ, out on course.

Jan Barta would secure a 7th place finish on the day. As expected he puts in a solid ride, but he never comes close to the time of Wiggins. The same can be said for the likes of De Vries, Birtles and Westra. They all ride a solid TT but are overshadowed by the performance of Wiggins.

Voeckler, surprises many, with a great TT on the day. He would finish 6th, could his teammate Po-ding Kim do any better?

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/6_zps199987f7.jpg

The North Korean on the start ramp.

As Kessiakoff finishes provisionally 2nd some '28 seconds down on Wiggins the last rider to pose a serious threat to Wiggins exits off the ramp.

What can Kim do?

He goes fastest at the first checkpoint! He sets a time of 13'08, that is '7 faster than Wiggins. Can he keep this up?

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/7_zps1a9d033b.jpg

Kim as fast as the wind!

There looks to be no stopping the Korean.

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/8_zps33b79be9.jpg

Kim flies through the second checkpoint!

Kim puts even more time into Wiggins at the second checkpoint. Kim goes fastest at 22'51 some '11 faster than Wiggins.

For the first time in this race it looks to be the wrong decision in sending Wiggins here! The riders who started the day in the top 10 can kiss goodbye to a good GC finish, as they are well down at the splits. Everyone bar Kristoff that is, who is really holding his own.

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/9_zpsed013ff1.jpg

The Po-ding Kim show!

Kim, hell, he doesn't even need to ride with a rear wheel!

Kim puts in one of the most concentrated and powerful solo efforts of the EPIC era to win the TT here, trouncing the opposition. The North Korean managed to put '26 into Wiggins in the end. What a display!

i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b552/riderrider92/10_zps53897ce7.jpg

Kim moves into the race lead!

Europcar brought a strong team here and it has really paid off, they look a realty well drilled outfit. Kim leads the GC and the young rider classifications going into the final stage.

Wiggins and Kessiakoff round out the podium but they must be weary of Kristoff, who finished very well in 13th. If Kristoff finishes on the podium on the final stage he will leapfrog them both back into 2nd in the GC.

Solid ride from Barta there. Let's go all in for the last stage. Cool

I don't like Po-ding (because of his stats), but he put in quite a sweet ride there.
