Apparently Almeida is an idiot for putting the ball in the net. I did not know that.
Did you guys know Almeida was playing in place of Eto'o who was awful for Portugal in the first game? I didn't. It's good to learn u mean in place of liedson
No, not in place of liedson. The BBC ... Eto'o

Nice win by Chile, this group i suspect will end with 3 teams having 6 points, if they have same balance of goals, then a random draw
Spain has the capacity to score more than two goals against Honduras, and scoring maybe 2 goals against Chile. So I guess they'll end first, but it won't be easy
I agree Spain are going through to the last 16 but either 1st or 2nd in the groupe I dunno. Spain'll win the WC to me!
There are great players providing a collective accurate play, which is the huge difference between Spain and most of the teams at that tournament. Okay Switzerland beat Spain, each team can get their bad day though - ie lack of luck. With often 65% of the ball every match, Spain offer lots of opportunities. Furthermore, when you control the all match long, you can score at any time.
I have not seen any of that from any team yet.

Torres has had many chances. even aimed the header to the ground in hopes that it wouldn't miss but the damn ball is so light that it bounced too high. Hopefully his shoulder is alright.

Spain are still one of the favorites but the loss against Switzerland had nothing to do with luck imo. They were exposed for being to cautious, not dangerous enough. Reminded me of the Netherlands play, dominating possession without real threats up front. Even though they were better offensively than Netherlands but still far from as good as they can be. The play tonight hasn't impressed me either, the game vs Chile is going to be a big game and Spain are also far from certain to become 1st, which will mean they could face Brazil.. so they have an uphill battle.

If Honduras keep playing this way, they'll be crushed a la DPRK.

He was playing like shit and to rest his injury/ies. Fabregas looks stunning. As a football player.

Spain coach did some substitutions which are helping this evening.
As for Chile, they proved they've got to struggle to score one goal in a match whereas Spain are scoring much more with no big deal this evening - eg compare Chile 1-0 Honduras and Spain 2-0 Honduras (full time hasnt struck). Chile'll be shakier against an offensive team, which they havent encountered for the moment
Concerning Brazil, they havent done anything so impressive yet. Their play doesnt work as they'd like and then some players should be sent off or they'll have trouble going far. Fabiano scored but he isnt great at all; he fortunately scored otherwise I(d wonder what the heck he was doing on the pitch the two matches. Kaka' showed nothing or so; that's not the same Kaka'. Brazil's play is not that enjoyable and not very effective, either. Accordingly, Brazil would rather get knockout by Spain than the contrary.
