I'm thinking of going to see the Tour de Bretagne today (and tomorrow), as they'll pass 3 km away from here, up a hill that should have received a TDF finish last year (it eventually ended in Mur-de-Bretagne), but it's raining cats and dogs, and I have some home-trainer "homework" to do, so I'm not sure. Might take pictures if I go...

Janse van Rensburg is having a great season so far. If he doesn't get a pro contract next year then something is wrong.

One can but hope. He's been one of the the strongest riders domestically for a couple of years now.

Globalisation of cycling is a bit pointless if this is what comes from it...

7°C and a continuous rain, strong wind too.
There were about 200 persons up the local hill, 20 minutes ago. Funny to see a genuine red TDF car opening the circus. The speaker announced a three men breakaway with a 1'50 lead, but when they rode past us, there was 3 x 1 rider, then the peloton, and riders dropping. I couldn't identify the leading guy (red jersey, but then what ?), but all of them were going to get caught, whatsoever.
Mathieu Halléguen was getting dropped, his father stood 20 m farther than me.

My pictures are mostly crap, btw, don't think I'll upload them...

Those guys deserve kudos for riding with such a weather for one week now. I can't recall such a horrible April, ever.

Tour de Bretagne - Trophée des Granitiers, Stage 5 (2.2)
1- Evaldas SISKEVICIUS (La Pomme Marseille) en 4h18'1''
2- Tomasz OLEJNIK (Veranda rideau) à 11''
3- David CHOPIN (Sélection Bretagne) à 26''

Looks like the guy who passed first got caught by the Marseille dude (he was more impressive) and they made it to the end. Chopin must have escaped from the peloton. 2 stages to go.
No idea bout the G.C.
