So, some time ago, my laptop screen suddenly decided to put up a large, grey block, making it impossible to see / use 1/3 part of the screen.
Luckily, I have an insurance which covers all electronic equipment in my home - so, I thought -- it's time to use it. I did and sent it to the repair shop.
A friendly woman then called me Thursday to tell me that they had fixed the problem by simply updating the graphics driver. I was rather stunned and felt a tad stupid for not having done that myself, costing me c. 135 € in deductible / excess (I've no idea what the correct word is).
So, I got it the following day, opened it - and the exact same problem was still there.
How stupid is that? It's the most obvious próblem, you simply can't miss it if you actually turn on the laptop. For Allah's sake, the 1/3 part of the screen is blocked and unuseable!
Sending it back tomorrow...
Got it back today - finally working. And as expected, it wasn't enough to just update the graphics card. Instead, they've given me a new screen. I had hoped for a new graphics card, but that's not the case |

I'm sending in my taxes this month for the first time in my life. I think I'm gonna hate doing taxes...

Today I got a very strange phone call from Herndon, Virginia (USA)... at 6 a.m.!!!! I'll only say this once for all you americans: Let me sleep in peace god damnit!
Seriously though, I have no idea who could have been calling me at that hour from that state. Pretty weird...

Hoping to get a quick answer, I need to analyze some articles for English class, but I don't really get the following question
04. Does the writer make any assumptions about the subject or how the audience perceives the subject?
Are they asking me whether the writer has a clear opinion on the subject or...? I know to assumption means to take something for granted but I don't really get it how that would fit in the context of the question.
EDIT: Never mind...

The most surprising about that is the fact that the girl managed to attract more than one guy. |
