@The Hobbit I already was afraid for that: Brookes can't handle the distance.

Decent ride from Belkin, just too much chaos at the finish. All riders proved they were worth the selection though.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

3rd is not so bad, although the goal was to win. Would've been better if Sagan went with Cancellara though, instead of staying in the peloton. |

Yeah, I didn't understand why Sagan didn't follow Cancellara, he was the only favourite close to Cancellara when he attacked.
Well, I guess he wouldn't be able to hang on to Spartacus in the end though, Cancellara just managed to ride faster than the peloton the whole last 13km

No problem
It's just that it took me around 2,5 hours to do the whole MSR...

Soupe putting in a long days work and massive effort, shame it wasn't rewarded. Otherwise FDJ dissapointing, with Demare, Bouhanni and Cervero i was hoping for a top10...
On the other side Hanzen great as the top custom rider!

Woohooo! A win at Milan San Remo really does make it a good EPIC part 1 for the team.
Congrats on another Milan San Remo win for Spartacus, who clearly had the good legs today.
-- Jesleyh - Well, there is not a more appropriate time to be Zabel'd than at Milan San Remo. |

Nice effort by guys in the last stage of Tirreno. Also good to see Mark doing TOP5 in San Remo, but honestly we were looking for better place.
Die hard fan of Tom Boonen and Quickstep since 2004.

@The Rider
And yeah, great win for Cancellara! He actually tried a late attack in the test I did as well. But he was reeled in during the sprint there. He made it this time though
@Nacho Yeah, he was boxed in...

Good to see Garcia in the break, but to bad that neither Verboven nor Lobato had anything left for the sprint.
Not a race we expected anything from anyway, so credit for finishing inside the main group in hid first Sanremo has to be given to Rudy as well

@Cycleman
Yeah, the Orica train was in great position. They only needed a sprinter to finish it off

PREVIEW
RACE INFORMATION
Nokere Koerse is a semi-classic held around Nokere in Flanders. The first edition (as Grand Prix Jules Lowie) was held n 1944, and has been held every year except 1959 and 1962. The last winner was Italian Francesco Chicchi, 1 of the 6 non-Benelux winners of the race. This years edition was on the edge of getting cancelled because of the weather conditions, but the green light was given by the organizers.
ROUTE
Nokere Koerse is 194 kilometers long. The race mainly follows a flat circuit around Nokere, with some cobbled sections. But the most important thing here is the finish. The race finishes at the Nokereberg, a small cobbled hill, which can cause some surprises.
STARTLIST
Spoiler Sojasun has 1 more rider, Fabian Schmidt, but he accidentaly fell off the screenshot
FAVOURITES
Top favourites
| | | | Rider | Team | Cobble | Sprint | Thabo Jango Sithembile | Sky ProCycling | 80 | 63 | Sébastien Turgot | Team Europcar | 78 | 72 | Sep Vanmarcke | Belkin Pro Cycling Team | 79 | 68 |
Thabo Jango Sithembile is the best cobbles rider here. He's still young, but is a serious contestant here.
Sébastien Turgot is also a good cobbler, but is slightly better than the Kenian when it will end in a sprint.
The Belgians rely on Sep Vanmarcke. He is the third and final favourite for this race.
Outsiders
| | | | Rider | Team | Cobble | Sprint | Bernhard Eisel | Sky ProCycling | 76 | 74 | Damien Gaudin | Team Europcar | 78 | 66 | Heinrich Haussler | IAM Cycling | 77 | 76 | Lue Khamse Khamphan | Team Europcar | 80 | 73 | Jürgen Roelandts | Lotto - Belisol | 77 | 76 |
Bernhard Eisel is a good leadout, but can he deliver when he must sprint for himself?
Damien Gaudin is one of the 3 big riders from Europcar. But for who will they ride?
Heinrich Haussler is a decent rider who will certanly deliver something here.
Lue Khamse Khamphan is another great cobbler, but his inexperience may be his weak spot
Another hope from Belgium. Jürgen Roelandts will certanly have his homecrowd (and the reporter ) behind him.
Can't be underestimated
| | | | Rider | Team | Cobble | Sprint | Robert Andrews | Garmin - Sharp | 77 | 70 | Lars Boom | Belkin Pro Cycling Team | 77 | 70 | Oscar Gatto | Vini Fantini - Sella Italia | 76 | 72 | Matthew Hayman | Sky ProCycling | 74 | 71 | Nick Nuyens | Garmin - Sharp | 76 | 67 | Ian Stannard | Sky ProCycling | 75 | 64 | Geraint Thomas | Sky ProCycling | 76 | 69 | Johan Vansummeren | Garmin - Sharp | 76 | 63 |
CONCLUSION
It will be a very interesting race for sure!
