Here we go, everything comes down to the elimination race.
The top 2 move on to the USA Nationals in New York.
Valencia, Hilyer, Gay, and Maddux are trying to stop me from advancing.

No letdown, I get through the 1st elimination.
And the 2nd. Find a way to survive.
This is easy...
Yes, one competitor down. Two more to go to clinch a spot.
Another heat complete.
And another. 10 riders left.
So far so good. Though I'm starting to get a little tired.
Great! Another challenger is eliminated.
Now just Valencia and Maddux to worry about..
It's getting very difficult now.
Noooo.... So close. I finish 7th and get 7 points.
Since Valencia finished 4th he secured the top spot for Nationals.
That leaves Maddux and I to fight for the 2nd and final spot.
As long as Maddux doesn't win the elimination race I'm going to New York.
It's Maddux Vs. Cohen in the final.
I look on as they start sprinting for the finish line.
I can't watch. Come on Cohen! GO COHEN! It's a photo finish!

The crowd is going wild. They got what they wanted.
I really don't know what to say.
I'm not an emotional guy but I started to cry.
It's a repeat nightmare of what happened to me as a junior.
Where do I go from here? The Comeback had failed.

I literally couldn't move, I was frozen in time.
How did this happen to me, twice? It's just not fair.
I had my chance to turn my life back around and it slipped away.
I just stood there next to my bike crying. I'm a 25 year old man crying.
That's how much this event meant to me because I was so close.
I must have been like that for hours because
by the time Kyle approached me holding Joseph
we were now the last people still in the velodrome.
"We have to get going they are about to shut this place down.
How are you holding up Travis?"
"Not good man. I blew my one shot. Where do I go now?"
"I really don't want to kick you while your down
but I just got some more bad news for you."
"What is it? It can't be any worse then what just happened."
