North Korea is actually a decent team. They only lack decent players in the D area.

Sanchez is really the sharpest player on the pitch. He'll score

How many chances do you need to score???
Chile will not come far this tournament, they can't score. |

See what I mean?
Almost 1-1
edit: end of the game
the lack of goals scored will hurt Chile badly. Mark my words

Chile won, yet I think they won't reach the round of 16. I hope to be wrong though, for my own sake.

Nice win by Chile, this group i suspect will end with 3 teams having 6 points, if they have same balance of goals, then a random draw
Spain has the capacity to score more than two goals against Honduras, and scoring maybe 2 goals against Chile. So I guess they'll end first, but it won't be easy

You hope to be wrong? As in they keep Spain to a draw? Which I don't rule out btw. |

I'd rather have Chile than Spain in the next round. They are much more exciting. |

lol ok. I figured you'd prefer Spain but I guess you're not a chauvinist.
I'm not sure what I prefer. I'm from Holland and I pretty much fear two teams the most, Spain and Brazil. They could face each other and the winner would play us in the QF probably. |

I'm watching the Portugal game recorded from the BBC, and I'm learning a lot.
Apparently Almeida is an idiot for putting the ball in the net. I did not know that.
Did you guys know Almeida was playing in place of Eto'o who was awful for Portugal in the first game? I didn't. It's good to learn

BBC obviously thinks Liedson and Eto'o are the same
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

Looks to me like Brazil and Portugal are going to be the teams that qualify from the 'group of death'.
Ivory Coast badly misjudged the opening game, like so many sides they walked away thinking a draw was a good result. Then they get Kaka sent off, meaning he misses the game against a team Ivory Coast need Brazil to win... nice one. Likewise Ghana fail to realise that beating a 10 man patched up Australia is far easier than getting something off a wound up Germany who need a something from their game.
Great performance from Portugal, though North Korea got remarkably like the other team from their nation against a fast slick passing team.
Spain fail to win tonight, I feel they are gone from the tournament. Though I have to confess I am unfamiliar with the Honduras team, I get the impression they are the 'joker' CONCACAF team this time round. |
