Sunday was Presidential Election day here and....well, let's just say some of us weren't comfortable with any of the standard candidates
I read a little about it in the media. Current president re-elected after the first round. Sounds a bit like a Banananian Republic (I mean some good old dictatorial Democracy)... (Yeah I know French politics are also very ridiculous in case anyone would like to go that way).
It's like 8°C here, by the way. I've been living far from the sea for almost six months now, and though the temperatures appear to be more or less the same, it feels much colder here...
I long to go back on the seaside. |

It's the contrary of a dictatorship: The guy has done literally NOTHING all term, to avoid upsetting anyone.
Guess what...it worked, he's re-elected.
That said, he's a horrible human being, and the record numbers of blank votes and no-shows is entirely predictable.
Also, the fact that he ran his campaign based entirely on spreading lies and half-truths about the other candidates must've helped.
The thing is...none of the other candidates deserved to be voted for either.
Mind you, not that it matters. In the Portuguese system, the President has mostly an honorary position. He hands out medals and improves foreign relations and whatnot. Prime-Minister is the position with the actual power.

I didn't think Spain cared at all, but Marca does actually have an article up (and lots of comments too - I'm quite surprised).

Anyway, doing the Crit Series in a bit, so don't yell at me SN (and doing your XP thing tomorrow). |

I actually like when the power goes out because then I have an excuse to eat all the ice cream out of the freezer.
Did you have fun "outside"?

I have live wires down outside my house still, so I can't really go anywhere, but other than that, sure. |

If you are talking about handball, it's actually a pretty followed sport. And Spain was World Champion a few years ago, which always brings some casual fans into the sport (much like the large amount of 'cycling fans' who only know Contador, Schleck, Armstrong and a handful more).
Well, that and also Marca goes crazy with anything that involves the Spanish national team being close to winning anything. |

I was bored so decided to look up PCM.daily on archive.org. They had an archive from shortly after I joined, and I find it highly comedic.

Also does anyone here watch the "How the Race Was Won" videos?

Not to mention Crommy's famous "I'm better than googling than you quiz" and Wildcat000 being a member of the crew. |
