Valverde said he wouldn't attack and he's kept his promise. Now he'll sprint for the 8 second bonus.

Gesink is really doing well here, considering his not having the best of days.

Rabobank and Liquigas did great. They did the whole job to hand over the Vuelta to Valverde and try to get a podium for Basso and Gesink. That's just awful. Don't they realise the more contenders still on the fight, the more difficult for Caisse d'Epargne to control the race?

Finally Sánchez didn't lost too much time, and Moncoutié deserved the win after such a great effort, he knows how to do it |

I could've slept if it wasn't for Mosquera and Basso's repeated attacks.

I want to defend the riders, they were pretty much at their limit very soon after Kreuziger destroyed and killed everyone on the Monachil.
After that, Basso had nothing left to attack with. Gesink was happy to be there. Valverde was just covering Gesink and Basso and Mosquera was probably the strongest |

Cunego continues to be unable to beat teammates on GT GCs
Tiralongo is quite a bit ahead of him

And Isso didn't I tell you Gesink would have it difficult with Basso? He was happy to be still following, that was clear |

He was right there the whole time and closed the gap on Valverde by himself
Let's see tomorrow
