I completely forgot to pass this information on earlier: Paride Grillo has decided to end his career.

Is it anything to do with his car accident? That porsche was completely smashed...

I guess it's because he couldn't get a proper contract (or, a contract with a proper team). CSF didn't want to renew it, and Serramenti said no.

If that's the case, it's yet another mishap by cycling sites. Most of them reported him signing with Diquigiovanni

Bennati has extended his contract with Liquigas, so it now runs to the end of 2010.

Wim Van Huffel to sign for Revor-Jartazi today, finally he signed for a non-ghostteam =)

There's been a few signings lately.

Tomei -> Lampre
Laurent Didier (very close at signing with Saxo Bank) -> Team Designa Køkken
Umberto Nardecchia -> CSF Group
Andrea Capelli -> Vorarlberg

Edit: And more importantly, Manuel Beltran has signed with Team Bike Sport despite the fact that tested positive during the Tour de France. UCI has issued a license, because AFLD / UCI still haven't done anything to his case, kinda like Schmuacher.

He had the contact all set...then IT Factory went boom and the team no longer had the money to sign him and the others they wanted. So they all had to find other teams and the team has less than the 30 riders they wanted.

On a side note, Lampre confirmed months ago that Ulissi would sign with them for 2009. Yet he's still on the farm team....what gives? Is he only joining in the summer?

Garmin have signed soon-to-be-20-year-old Jack Bobridge who just won the Eschborn-Frankfurt Loop (aka Rund um den Henninger Turm) U23.

Exaggeration-machine Jon Vaughters refers to him as the greatest time triallist of his generation

Good for Bobridge, he's very talented and is already a star on the track.

There is quite big chance that Taaramäe wont be staying with Cofidis(Currently only a rumor i heard from a friend of his).

But he does have a lot of offers from different teams
