- Shonak - I thought you were Austrian! Coincidently I have been working on an Austrian jersey myself. .....
STAGE 1: Traunstein - Penzberg 215 KM
Stage Favourites:
***** Greipel
*** Ciolek *** Kristoff
We start this tour with the longest stage. Despite this, a mass sprint is surely on the cards to decide the victor.
Joeaar on the attack.
All six riders, who attacked right from the off, made the break today. The break was established with over 200 KM to go and was made up of: Joeaar, Domalgalski, Hivert, Avery, Manakov and the Kazakh champ, Bazayev.
Hivert: Master of the intermediate sprints
The Frenchman was comfortably the fastest at all of the intermediate sprints toady. Bazayev was the closest challenger but it seems he has lost his sprint almost completely.
Sprint results
-- 184 KM to go:
Spoiler
Hivert - 6 points/ 6 seconds bonus
Bazayev - 4 points/ 4 seconds bonus
Avery - 2 points/ 2 seconds bonus
-- 164 KM to go:
Spoiler
Hivert - 6 points/ 6 seconds bonus
Bazayev - 4 points/ 4 seconds bonus
Manakov - 2 points/ 2 seconds bonus
-- 25 KM to go:
Spoiler
Hivert - 6 points/ 6 seconds bonus
Bazayev - 4 points/ 4 seconds bonus
Avery - 2 points/ 2 seconds bonus
Europcar and Sky do much of the early pace setting in the stage. Even when the peloton increases speed with around 110 KM to go, and the break at 9'40, the same teams are setting the pace. Lotto - Belisol are nowhere to be seen.
Bazayev: King of the mountains.
Assan Bazayev will don the KOM jersey on stage 2 after finishing first at both KOM points on the day.
KOM results
-- 141 KM to go:
Spoiler
Bazayev - 10 KOM points
Avery - 8 KOM points
Manakov - 6 KOM points
Domalgalski - 4 KOM points
Hivert - 2 KOM points
-- 97 KM to go:
Spoiler
Bazayev - 16 KOM points
Hivert - 12 KOM points
Joeaar - 10 KOM points
Avery - 8 KOM points
Domalgalski - 6 KOM points
Manakov - 4 KOM points
Rabottini - 2 KOM points
Matteo Rabottini attack out of the peloton with 97 KM to go and would continue on, in an ultimately vain attempt, at catching the break.
No Trouble.
Andrei Greipel survives a puncture with no problem whatsoever.
The Irish Champ.
The perennial Irish champ, Matt Brammeier, would have no trouble on the day, perhaps he will attack in the coming days...
Out of the GC picture.
Potential GC man, Shafiq, is one of the first to be dropped with 95 KM to go. The TT specialist could not handle the small and frequent hills on the day. This does not detour MTN from now contributing to the pace setting on the front of the peloton as the break are hung out to dry.
A Crash.
Around 20 riders are taken out by a crash with 15 KM to go. The biggest casualty being Zak Dempster. Lotto and Katusha add some weight to the chase and the breakaway are soon caught.
Hintermuller on the front.
The German rider leads the peloton inside of 10 KM to go. The sprint trains are ready for the final battle.
Three Trains form!
We have a Katusha train an MTN train and a Lotto train at the head of the race. The likes of Chicchi and D van Poppel will have to ride their luck.
Vangenehten launches his final effort and brings the favourite Greipel to the head of the race with around 300 meters to go.
Greipel leads!
But .... he is not looking his usual self. Van Poppel has no trouble holding the wheel.
Selig brings Kristoff level with Greipel before the Russian starts his final sprint. Ciolek follows the Russian......
Ciolek takes the win!
Kristoff must have thought the win was his once he passed Greipel with 100 meters to go but Ciolek drafted past the Russian in the dying meters for a popular home win. This win is certainly what the doctor ordered for the South African based team.
Greipel just didn't have it in the legs today. He doesn't even manage a podium finish with Van Poppel passing him at the line.

7th is okay. Happy that Po-Ding avoided the crash, while Shaqif lost time. Not that he would be a GC threat, with 60 HI

Whisper it quietly but BMC are having a good race in Romandie. Still got my two Americans in the top ten.
And, yeah, Dermot is no climber but he's still eight minutes better than Shaqif.

Well, Belkin is staying in the main group, but if even Po-ding beats them all in a sprint..
So we have two problems currently:
1) Giro needs fixing, if anyone could take a look at it (continue with the previews in the mean time though )
2) Norway needs a new reporter, as there seems to be no 2013 route for PCM11
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Not bad from Gavazzi in 8th considering his lack of support.

We really need a solution for the Giro. Can anyone get it working?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I had to increase a few races limits for the MFS and all the race run with upto 25 teams.
Was really simple to do:
STA_race_rules > gene_i_max_team
You can either sot by Race Rule or by fkIDrace, but the GT's have very unique set ups (unique xml's and fkIDtype_tour for example)
You might need to create a new line in STA_race_rules.
Or go to STA_UCI_class then edit gene_i_max_team in there. If that doesn't work perhaps it might be in the .xml but that is unlikely.
Anyway if after editing STA_UCI_class it doesn't work then the problem is not the team limits and will relate to the number of riders (200 max, better to stay at 199) which should be sortable by using a 1-man Control team.

It's not in the .xml either, I just checked. The other things didn't work either.

Well if it's not those then IT IS NOT caused by too many teams (assuming it was all edited correctly)
The other obvious problem is too many riders, and you can do 22 teams of 9 plus a 1-man control team (198+1 = total 199 riders)
Could you repost the .cdb someone and i can take a look this afternoon

Well i'm stumped. It will run with 22 teams, 21 teams, 10 teams but not 23 teams. Edited everything i think it could be but somewhere the game is limiting the GT startlists to 22 teams. I don't have a clue where this is.
Obviously there is an easy solution, cut one of the wildcards. Otherwise nothing more i can think of.
(Note: I can run 23+ teams in other races in the EPIC DB provided the number of rides is 199 or less. So it's something specific to GT's i don't know of)

If you have to, I wouldn't mind too much about being cut.
Just ask Cycleman and Dippo first, as they are represented too. |
