Lots of wind at Tour du Finistère. Break of the day was composed of two men, then with 35 km to go or so a group of 12 went away. Some of them managed to keep a thin gap on the peloton till the end.
Spoiler
Oh, and Tim Declerq stole a Strava KOM from me (17 seconds on a 4+ minutes effort ) I had stolen it from Bideau last Summer.
Bit of a mess that race (I saw the last 11 km on the local TV).
A group of 9 riders or so, including Petit and Dassonville, was in the lead for a while, when they almost got caught on the final circuit.
Petit and Dassonville escaped, then there was a group of 5 or 6 behind, from which Pineau and Perichon got away. Pineau dropped Perichon with one lap to go and couldn't come back. Dassonville was never a threat to Petit in the sprint, as it could be expected.
TV GPS messed up again, like last year (or two years ago) when based on the GPS the commentators announced one more lap to go as the peloton was obviously sprinting to the line. The same almost happened, but in the end they were just bemused, not plain wrong...
Yep, it is. They nickname it the Breton Paris-Roubaix, but it's more like Strade Bianche.
As the weather was quite bad today (wind + rain showers), it made up for the muddy classic we haven't gotten in PR or RVV.

What is this for an Tour of Turkey (2.HC) race. Total dominance against Greipel?
Cavendish was ill for a long time, Greipel is recovering from a ripped collarbone, I think they're pretty even. OPQS sends a stronger team allthough a lot will matter whether Hendo can finally get in form. Also Belkin sends a strong team and with a lesser in form Cav and Greipel mayby Bos can take some wins in Turkey.
I just hope that this year not someone from Torku EPOspor wins the GC. Why do they even still invite that team?
Torku is the one and only Turkish team. They must invite. They are one of the sponsor of the Tour of Turkey too.. (Torku)
Bennett takes Rund um Köln in a photo finish ahead of Barry Markus. Ciolek 3rd. Those 3 teams also have done a lot over the stage.
MTN with Thompson one of the most active rider today winning KoM and point ranking.
NetApp with Barta trying to get away.
Belkin 100% focussed on the sprint.
Sensational season by Bennet. He made a big step up from Post Chain, but it looks it didn't faze him at all. Big future. And yet another upcoming sprinter that can climb quite well, we certainly have few lately.
Nice to see quite a few young Germans in the sprint mix.
Willwohl looking like a rider to follow in future I think.
Krieger with solid results here and there, but I doubt he will make another big step.
