Poor guy?
I think not, that guy did the same to Boogerd in 2004, only sitting on Boogerd's wheel all the time and winning in the sprint twice (AGR and LBL).
Bah, he deserves to get 2nd in all races now to see what it feels like. |

Eisel wins Paris-Bourges with Pineau (the younger one) in second, Pineau (the elder one) thus wins this season's Coupe de France.
Finally Eisel was working for this win a lot this year, a lot of breakaways...
Someone here was allready mentioning the fact that Eisel has really changed the way he rides this year, really aggressive... |

My pick for Paris-Tours?
Farrar. I think he can win. He is on great form having won 4 races in the last few weeks

And back to the real world.....
If it comes to a Sprint finish, Boonen. Most top sprinters aren't there and Boonen didn't do the TDF or Tour de Suisse so he had plenty of time to rest. He's much fresher than anyone else.
If it's not a sprint, who the hell knows....
I'm interested in what Ciolek can do.
Much depends on whether Quickstep can control the sprint. If they can't Boonen has no chance, due to having no acceleration. In that case it'll be Freire, or maybe even McEwen.

Hasselinhoo must be proud of the strength of bulgarian cycling.
As shown by their national championships today. Ivailo Gabrovski won, as always. The 4th placed guy was 14 minutes behind and is 58 years old.......

Team Columbia says they are aiming to make their mark in Paris-Tours in France this Sunday by getting their riders in the breakaways. "That tactic worked out for us well on Thursday when Bernhard [Eisel] won Paris-Bourges so I don't see why it can't work on Sunday too." said team sports director Tristan Hoffman. "Getting that win on Thursday has certainly upped the team's motivation and proved that we've got a good chance of success. On top of that, we won't have any of our top fast-men there. Gerald Ciolek, who was due to be taking part, is sick and we'll only start with seven riders. So it makes sense for us to try and get somebody into one of those early moves rather than gamble it all on a bunch sprint."
