I don't agree with Anelka's expulsion, I don't like Domenech, the guy coulfn'y coach an under 8s team but it is rather comical the way it is coming out.

bloody france.
the players can't play and the referee's can't referee
i suppose at least as an England fan i can watch there comedy road show and say at least i'm not French
They just act like clowns. Dont gather everything! Im not ashamed of being French - but proud - so I keep my faith in France and not in that stupid squad.
i feel sorry for you mate.
you look forward to the world cup for 4 years and then the team goes and does that to you.
hopefully England can still pull it out of the bag and get to at least the quarters.
England have great players and are strong on the sheet. If England can provide a collective play, England will go further and be even very dangerous

You cannot blame Domenech for everything. Domenech managed France as badly as he could but the players have their own responsabilities on the pitch!

France are good on the sheet
How about England? Terry, Lampard, Gerrard, Rouney, etc. Can you tell?

Im remaining positive group c is tight 1 win we top the group, so far its not a disaster, dissapointing results yeh but were still there and can improve, but France it could get worse for them, Laurent Blanc has one hell of a job on his hands before he manages hid first game.

You agree England should be better on the pitch according to the notoriety on the sheet. I didnt mean to smash at England at all! I wanted to show you that even if France or England have great players, they can lose and provide disappointing results
Blanc'll have to send off the players who dont want to play

I know you weren't every team is human, every team have a bad run but this is football inthe biggest tournament in the world, but the French players are acting like 8 yeear olds, I feel for the French fans both in France and the fans who have paid all the money to go South africa, but France come on the whole team ned to grow up, Evra he's your captain had to split apart from the fitness coach, but its no surprise since he plays under Fergie at the crap in Manchester.

No it wasn't. It was a deserved second yellow. Yes Keita dived horribly, but Kaka had no reason to do what he did. It was a yellow, and it was unfotunately a second yellow.
Fair Enough. I just thought he completly dived and someone in a north american sport would never have falllen over from such minimal contact nor would it have been called on. Thats the reason almost no one watches soccer besides the WC in Canada and probably the US also.
Also, it's who you support. Not who you cheer for
I don't watch football much.
I really agree in this. Generally the north americans have so much self respect, that they doesn't dive/flop and they know that the spectators doesn't like it as well. There's a clear difference in f.ex. NBA between americans and international players. The latter doesn't mind flopping/diving and players like Anderson Varajeo and Pau Gasol are pathetic to watch sometimes.
Kobe 'please give me two freebies' Bryant, Paul 'wheelchair' Pierce and LeBron 'crab-dribble-and-one' James say hi. |

Portugal 1-0 North Korea. NK are really impressive for a 105th team on earth; their rank should be updated. Both teams have offered a lot of opportunities thus far. First half was offensive - what about the second half: 5-4?

Nice one Meireles. Well done.
I don't give a crap about Portugal, but Meireles is one of this year's "designated players to make a profit on" for Porto, so this increases the chances we'll sell him for a very large amount of money

4-0....it's WC 2002 all over again. Crappy first game, win by a ton in the 2nd game, then play like crap for the duration and go home early.
The only thing that's missing is for someone to physically assault the manager and for one of the players to be amazingly good in a game we lose, only to somehow be remembered as the single guy at fault for the loss.
Oh 2002. The memories

Portugal 4-0 North Korea. I'd say the group of death has been too much for NK as they are out of the WC. Portugal's interplays are just awesome. Ronaldo to score???

Ironically, the match was actually shown live - a historical event, really - in North Korea...

Breaking News: It has been revealed that the North Korean football team will be welcomed by firing squad upon returning home.
