Its bad news for Rigoberto Uran. He broke his wrist in training and will be out for a month until Mid-March. It hopefully will not affect his Ardennes aims too much.

Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana
Pliuschin is here to gain race points, Tenorio is here for XP and I have no other reason for being here. I had to pick a team of 8, but abandoned 4 of them on Stage 2.
In Stage 1, Matteo Carrarra of Bouygues won, while in Stage 2 Bouygues did it again, this time with Domenico Pozzovivvo. The winner of this tour is Carlos Barredo who won Stage 3 infront of a group of 9 which included Pliuschin. It was back to sprints for the last two days. Lorenzetto won stage 4 in a Milram 1-2 with Rigotto while Gavazzi of Lampre won Stage 5 with a very fast finish, denying Candido Barbosa of Euskaltel who had looked set to win.

I dont know what his form is but you'll need around 50 form in mid-march if you want to reach 80 in the end of april... I hope Uran will be ok... |

Unfortunately Uran will probably now have to completely rethink his season. While injured, his form has dropped. Its at 37 pts currently on March 2nd, to theres no chance of him being ready for the Ardennes

Well his plan was always going to be 2 peaks. He was going to build up to the Ardennes, race them, do Romandie and then rest for the first peak - Konovalovas will now take over that schedule.
Uran can still go for the 2nd peak which was at the Worlds and Lombardia, with the Vuelta being ridden as preparation for that.

The cobbles are set to begin but the opeaning pair of Omloop and Kuurne hold little interest to Nolf, who is currently at 60 fitness. His training will not pick up until after these two races.
Omloop Het Volk
Filippo Pozzato was the strongest of the 5 attackers as he took victory. He's showing good form this season having already won the Tour of California. Boonen led in a group of 4 after Pozzato while Nolf finished inside the next group - of 40.

Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne
Cancellara attacked from a long way out and would never be seen again, he wins in Kuurrne. Boonen was 2nd again while Nolf finished a pleasing 11th - 7 minutes down, but what do you expect with a form in the mid 60s? Coyot was a disappointing 57th, nearly 14 minutes down - and his form is slightly better than Nolf's. They were the only 2 DFL finishers of 8 starters - Pliuschin was just 500 metres away from finishing when the time limit kicked in.

Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen
Gert Steegmans of T-Mobile dominated the two sprint stages, winning both. Ivan Stevic was 5th in Stage 1 but could not contest the sprint on Stage 2.
The deciding time trial saw world champion Bradley Wiggins in action
But he isn't in a particularly strong form and only takes 8th on the stage. Jakob Fiedler is the stage winner, but Niels Schunemann wins overall.
