Astana, BMC, OPQS. I wouldn't totally discard Katusha just for that article either.

Hmm, didn't consider Astana, but I do think they'd be last in the running. I honestly can't see Cav going to either BMC or Katusha because he'd run into the same issue he did at Sky, with both teams having good GC setups. Katusha maybe, I guess, but he'd probably want a guarantee that he'd be the team focus at the Tour (i.e., no J-Rod). He would have a really good sprint train at Katusha, for that matter (Kristoff, Paolini, and a whole lot of big Russian bruisers).
I'd think the best chance is he stays at Sky, but I'd probably take OPQS for the odds. Apparently that isn't as dead as I thought it was... |

Kristoff has left Katusha, but Selig could be a decent leadout man. BMC wouldn't be a bad option, as much as they have GC man, they lack GC support, and their leaders are usually isolated in the mountains, as in any Evans team, so I guess he could fit somehow. OPQS would be great for him (better than Sky imo, so I wouldn't like it ).
I still think that he could stay at Sky though, but it's looking less likely as time goes. So, my bet would be OPQS.

Haven't heard anything about that? According to CQranking he stays with Katusha. |

Didn't expect that. I hoped he would sign for Spidertech. |

Good move for Löfkvist I think. Would love to see him back on top without injuries.
I suppose he will have a captain / lieutenant role at IAM? Hopefully that's just what he needs to give his career a new kick.

Not very important but Mehdi Sohrabi ("the Asian Gilbert") will be leaving Lotto-Belisol.
Lotto-Belisol needed the Iranian last year to get the required points for a World Tour license. In 2011, he won 27 (Asian) races and won the UCI Asia Tour (hence "the Asian Gilbert"), but apparently the World Tour level was a step too high for him. His only two achievements this year were an attack in the Tour of Qatar and second place in the Iranian NC.
Sohrabi is still deciding whether to join an Asian team or to retire.

Yeah no shock there.
Cataldo to Sky is unexpected... kind of sucks.

He will just fill the gap after Lövkvist left. So a pretty unseen rider for the next seasons... |

If Cav leaves, Sky's TDF team (assuming everyone is healthy and what not) next year is frightening.
Wiggo
Froome
Rogers
Porte
EBH
Siutsou
Uran
Knees
Henao/Kiriyenka
That's a seven-man mountain train for Froome and Wiggo. Remember the old PCM bug where you could ride off the front of the pack with three or four riders:
We could be looking at that.

Why most of my favourite riders are leaving for Sky? Boooooo, I don't like that transfer. |

Apparently Cavendish has been told by Team SKY that if he wants to ride for another team next season he has to buy himself out of his contract |

OMG, Sky are maniacs. Cavendish needs to pay if he wants to leave? Bravo, Cav, you wanted to ride for a british team, now see what that took you. |

Yeah, it's so terrible. It's not like Cavendish voluntarily signed a 3 years long contract!
